“Take your endorsement and shove it, BoBo!”
Love this guy for telling the-Thug-In-Chief what to do with his gutter politics….
“I never asked President Obama for his endorsement and what’s going on here is really Washington insider politics at its worst,” Caprio said, sounding livid. “He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I am concerned.”
“Treats Rhode Island like an ATM…”
Caprio was unaware that the president would not be endorsing him until a reporter told his campaign the news over the weekend.
President Obama will visit Rhode Island this afternoon, touring the facilities of American Cord & Webbing in Woonsocket and delivering remarks at two receptions in Providence, R.I., raising money for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
However, Caprio told a Providence news conference that he is no longer going to attend President Obama’s official small business event in Woonsocket to which he was invited as a local official, or to a DCCC fundraiser being held at the Providence Convention Center.
Caprio charged that the president is “coming into Rhode Island treating us like an ATM machine. I will wear it as a badge of honor and a badge of courage that he doesn’t want to endorse me as a Democrat.”
The Democratic candidate for Rhode Island governor is widely seen as more conservative than Chafee, the independent.
Lady Lynn reminds us….“The base is all he has left…..”
These Hillary Democrats are on board: Shocker: Are We Really Endorsing a Democrat in 2010?
(h/t Hillbuzz for the video)

Just wanted to point out that today is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s birthday.
Ozero’s long time support for buddy former Sen. Lincoln Chaffee was on full display when he tossed his endorsement to him, and not Caprio. Chafee, often referred to as a RINO from the heavily Democratic state of RI, rallied behind O in 2008. This of course is payback. But Caprio got it right when he said O was treating RI like an ATM, and discarded the O brand. O continues to alienate more and more people.
