I am sorry to announce that personal and professional demands, including a major cross-country move, cause me to put TD Blog on pause.
All of the contributing authors and readers have made this blog rewarding for me. Collectively we have contributed to an historic dialog, in the grandest tradition of Free Speech. I have always viewed reasoned dissent as one of the staunches pillars of democracy, along with a Free Press. One should never be ridiculed for speaking one’s mind. Whether on the streets of Tehran, in the townhalls of America, or on the walls of the Blogosphere, the people will be heard. And that is a beautiful thing.
Until we meet again….
God Bless America, land that I love.

Jan. 2010 Update: For the time being, I have “unpublished” the archive of blog posts

Best of luck in your career and personal life, TD. You’ve got a great crowd here that truly care about this nation and each other, we’ll be here waiting when you are ready.
Thank you, Proudin NC!
Yes TD I will miss your blog. I don’t post very often, but do visit daily and have learned so much from you and your writers and fellow bloggers.
I wish you the very best and will check in to see when you are back up and running.
OhioMary,
It’s nice to *see* you. Thank you.
OMG! I am so sorry for your circumstances. I will certainly miss my truth lifeline!
I will miss it too! Hope to be back soon…
Good luck on your move, as well as all the rest. Like OhioMary, I visit daily and have learned LOTS from you and all who post here. I’ll miss you while you’re away.
lev8mysoul,
Thank you for your comments and contributions. I will miss you guys too!
Go in peace, and hope all will be well for you, am not sure
what this all means, but enjoy life, and will remember you
always in my heart. Take care, as all things come to end
in life with anger, frustration, and it is human to just get
so fet up with it all, like myself, to throw in the towel for
whatever the reason.
Ox said it so well; I second that emotion, TD. Happy trails.
Ox, We need to do some houses ! Now !! Please ! I miss you ! TD and all, you are all the best ! Hope to meet up soon again !
I feel like I’m wearing the ruby slippers here…Ox
Go in peace and hope all will be well for you.
Your stories were enchanting and enlightening (warm and illuminating) …renee’s thread was such a treat. Glad to have this opportunity to greet you and say hello.
Hi Ox, where have you been? Miss your intriguing stories. I always looked up the people you mentioned to find out all about them. Very interesting.
Oh Ox, I would never throw in the towel, and I don’t think you would either.
Peace,
TD
I will miss your blog. Best wishes.
Thank you for YOUR blog!
“Until we meet again”….
Hoping here that it’s sooner rather than later and that this all is a positive move.
I wish you good luck with whatever this is all about.
Best Wishes.
Thank you, Kato. I appreciate your wishes.
Texas Darlin,
Thank You for all you have done and for letting us use your blog to vent, educate, and get educated. I have learned a lot in the year that I was here. Good Luck with your future endeavours.
Emudude
I am happy to hear that you have learned a lot here. That was the idea! See you around.
God Bless and save travel we hope you will be back on the air soon.
Thank you, Steve!
Texas Darlin,
I admire you greatly. I have followed you, mostly silently for many months…Your cutting edge blog has changed this nation. I hope you know that..
I just want to say “Thank you.”
God be with you TD.
Thank you, Song. That means a lot.
God Bless You, TD!
red pill,
I really appreciate your research and contributions. I’m sure I’ll *see* you around the blogs.
TD,
Thank you so much for everything you’ve done. You started this community, and we will always be appreciative of all of your hard work and dedication.
It’s really kind of you, too, to personally respond to the people who have left messages to you here. I didn’t really expect that. But you have always been a class act.
Thank you, and God bless you!
- Red Pill
Thanks for a great forum of ideas, TD, and good luck with your move!
Tony Stark! Thank you for all the excellent comments.
Thank you for your blog, TD. Are we still going to be able to access your archives? There were things from the last couple of weeks that I wanted to look at again and spend a little more time with. I also wanted to read Judah Benjamin’s posts from last year. Will we still be able to access this material?
I’m not sure yet how I’m going to handle the archives, but leave me a comment and let me know what it is that you’re interested in.
Thank you, JT
A million times thank you, all the best that life can bring, and may God bless and watch over you – praying this pause is temporary!
It is definitely temporary, thank you flygirl! I am honored to have had you as a reader and commenter.
The reform health bill is over 1000 pages long and most
people in government or citizens will ever take the time
to read it, and they are fighting in town meetings but it
is just a bit of this and that, and this has all turned into
a three ring circus. I have read it and there is no reform
here at all, but the biggest hoax in American History, as
it is taking one hat for another hat like a Magic trick like
at a carnival with a shell game.
I have seen evil in my life, and have known evil people
as well, but have never seen elected representatives
who want to push this on the American public. First of
all the Bill has nothing whatsoever to do with reform or
Health Care, but is an agenda for mass premeditated
murder of people who are old – SORRY – and an agenda
for a Communist type of control for all your freedoms to
be taken away.
Just read the Bill, as am not insane, and you will all have
to acquire a health card which is a substitute for Real ID.
See if they can’t bring it in the front door they will bring it
in the back door. I have read a lot in my life, but this Bill
is beyond the pale, as all your personal freedoms will be
taken away, and like the Constitution hasn’t been gone
will the Bill of Rights for years.
Obama is the front man, and believe he has no clue what
is in the Bill, and forget the politicians as they sold out all
their souls years ago, but if the average American could
read this Bill they would get angry and there would be a
lot of hell to pay.
Hi Ox, nice to see you again. As always good information. Please feel free to stop on by:
http://drkatesview.wordpress.com/
Oh! An empty spot where TD should be.
Where do we go now?
I hope your “pause” doesn’t last too long and you hit the “start” button soon.
Stay strong. Change causes stress. Take your vitamins and take care of yourself. I am sending good energy your way.
Thank you TD for gathering us all together. Thank you!!
Thanks so much TD and God speed.
May the wind be always at your back.
I guess we’ll have to wander over to thedametruth blog.
Not a bad place to wander on over to!
Thank you, Newssleuth. I have really valued all your comments. Hope you will be there when I get back.
You BETCHA!!
TD, we will be missing you at work. Thanks for all you’ve done. You rock.
Come back when you can.
Thank you, Tess.
Will miss this place while it is gone.
A “cross-country” move, eh? Would that country be MINE? Wouldn’t blame you one bit:
PS: I am of course Canadian, despite my screen name!
texasdude, do they have a matchdotcom thingy, up there in Canada? I just need to line up a job. asap.
This is so cool of you.
Sarah Smile
Just checked:
http://www.match.ca/
Looks like you are on the front page–see the username of the model!
texasdude,
I would love to come to Canada, it’s been a while. But I hear that your healthcare system is flawed, no?
That’s putting it mildly. We have “universal, free medical care”–that is, full socialized medicine. The good news is that more and more people are pushing for private services to be included, which many correctly fear would undermine the public system.
However, the public system has the status of a religion in this country. We are a long, long way from liberation of the medical profession.
Blessed Be, TD!
You have been a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Thank you for having a place for us to come and feel safe, and co miserate. The information here has been enlightning, helpfull, and most appreciated.
Stay safe in your move, keep well, and looking forward to seeing you back up and running.
WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!!
I will miss you too. Thank you for all your comments!
Thanks for all your dedication, TD–I wish you the best! Hopefully, we will see you again soon!
MissTickly, you are a true patriot with a career in journalism. Don’t ever stop!
God bless you always, TD. I look forward to seeing you again.

Uninformed and out of your comfort zone.?..Barack will never let you go back to your life as usual…
Fat Chance and Good Luck with that!
Michelle said, “Barack will require you to work.” Hell, yeah. We’ve been working to uncover his real agenda and what it means for American.
Oh definitely, Kate. Thank you for bringing a unique voice to the blog. See you soon.
Good luck, TD, and thank you for all of the great information you have given us. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this bog. I hope you will be back real soon. Ill be waiting!
Thank you, Nancy. I appreciate your comments.
blessings to you on your journey. hurry back here to where your friends wait.
You guys are my friends, I will never forget that.
Thank you.
TD, I will go through withdrawal, missing you and your insights as well as those of the others here. We all know the demands of life are many. You have offered us a respite when we so needed it as we sought refuge and solace in the face or blatant sexism and downright underhanded political manipulation.
Hope you are back again, and know we have valued your time and talents.
All the best.
Thank you so much, Jo. I have greatly valued your opinions. *See* you soon.
Hopefully, it will be a temporary hiatus. Best of luck with your move.
…There all in it together…
Rosemary, Miri, Newsleuth, Renee!! …

Will miss your efforts and insight!
1913 is coming to pass. Over my dead body.

Patti/Papoose,
Keep kickin’ ass!
Thank you for being a long-term reader and hanging in there with us through all the “good times and bad times.”
I don’t comment much because I’m not a good writer, I’m a reader, and I have visited your blog everyday I am on the comp. Bless you! Wish you well. But wish you’d keep up with the blog….
Everyone is a good enough writer to comment, so when we re-open this blog, please come back and share your thoughts. Thank you!
You’re my favorite. I will miss the blog and really hope to see you back before long.
thank you, roger
Good luck TD! Moving is always stressful, whether it’s across town or across the country.
I hope to see you again soon.
Thanks for all your input, chicagogal. I’m sure I’ll see you soon.
Good Luck on your move.
thank you, dianej! I’m happy to see you here.
Best of luck to you and yours TD. Although I don’t post often, I visit this site daily. It almost has that “homey” feeling just sharing thoughts and ideas with you and all the other bloggers. I felt a real kinship with everyone here and I always knew that only heart-felt “truths” were discussed.
God’s speed until we all meet again!
Can anyone recommend a similar website to visit?
Hillbuzz is back after a few months sabbatical. You might like the feel there.
HonorFirst,
I appreciate your sentiment.
See you again soon.
Dear TD,
I feel like I’ve just been kicked in the stomach. I can’t imagine a day without your blog. I have always enjoyed your wit and wisdom. I hope your cross-country move is somewhere in Pennsylvania! So, until we blog again…I wish you all the best and every blessing.
God’s speed TD…
Love and admiration,
Scranton4Hillary
Ah, Scranton, don’t make me cry! Thank you for sticking with Hillary through everything.
you are first on my blog list.
where do we all go now is the question?

I appreciate your blog, too. thank you!
Take Care TD.
Hope your back soon.
thank you!
Best wishes. God bless & shalom. Will miss your blog greatly. Hope you will have it up and running again in the not too distant future. Thank you for amazing contribution.
Shalom to you too.
OMG turn it over to Dr. Kate in the meantime!
YES!
Kate has her own blog now, as you’ve probably discovered. Enjoy it!
I assume your blog, even without new entries, will still get google hits and be a valuable resource as a result.
Is your plan to keep it on life support until…???
http://www.dailypuma.com
At the moment I don’t have any plans. Thank you for DailyPuma. I check it regularly.
TD, your side is the first, I check every morning. I will miss reading it.
Lisabona,
Thank you for being such a loyal reader for so long. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around the blogs.
TD
You will be greatly missed by all of us.
Good luck to you and do come back soon.
You will certainly leave a void in our lives.
Wow! Will miss your insightful articles and insight. Hurry Back. I surely hope the move goes smoothly and you have a wonderful time in the process. Best of luck to you and your fam. Take good care and keep in touch.
OMG, is this a conspiracy to keep America stupid! This is the best place on the net to get a foundation of knowledge for all of this mess we are in. What are we going to do now?
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me. You have truly changed and educated many of us on so many important issues. We will stand stronger as we carry on.
Thank you and best of luck in your new ventures.
TD, I wish you a safe journey, you will be missed no matter how long the pause. God Bless and take care.
Good luck TD, thanks for everything.
TD,
I’ve been reading your blog since we were both at T. Marsh, so you will permit me my tears. Yours is one of the fairest, most balanced, and generous intellects that has ever graced my life.
May you go blessed, and come back to us blessed.
God bless America. God save America.
Love,
Mary
TD – Mary’s comment sums it up best for me. I will miss you and the community intensely. Have a safe move and hurry back!
Thank you, Mary. I will miss your sharp-witted contributions.
PLEASE, EVERYBODY, PLEASE!
DO NOT take any mandatory flu shots. Many batches of the vaccine are intended to be toxic.
We’re not.
Thank you, socalannie. I hope everyone follows suit, and also spreads the word.
Here’s two articles about the new flu vaccine. An ingredient, squalene, was also used in the anthrax vaccine given to our military service members during the Gulf War. Squalene is linked to Gulf War Syndrome.

The adjuvant squalene is in the new flu vaccine and causes health problems. Squalene is linked to Gulf War Syndrome.

Mandatory flu shots? I’ve never taken them ever before. I just let my body’s immune system do its job.
This sounds way too much like a story I wrote in 1994 about a mysterious cabal that had taken over from the government that deliberately infected people but provided them with a 50% level serum to get them to purchase it on a weekly basis. Naturally it was about the money.
It also diminished thinking capabilities. Anyone who demonstrated clear thinking and rationale thought was rounded up, infected, then given the serum. This was done for the good of the people. Funny how when I wrote that story it was in response to Newt Gingrich’s Contract With America.
TD..Thanks…Hope you sort all your stuff (I’m sure it is all good) out and come back soon.
Best wishes for you & your family in your new life, td! I have greatly enjoyed reading your posts & comments for the last year and a half (from old tm days), and I admire you for your insight and courage. Hopefully, someday, we can all meet up again, but until then, thanks for the great ride and God bless! xoxo
Socalannie,
Thank you for being such a loyal reader as the blog grew, and an intelligent commenter.
I am sad in my heart for I will miss coming here. I echo each post ahead of me. I truly don’t know how to thank you enough, TD, for this harbor in the storm. This is the only site I post on so I will miss you immensely. You put soooo much of yourself into this blog and you are appreciated much more than you know. I felt comforted during the day knowing I would get to come here at night, “hear” what you guys were feeling and finding out there in crazyland–and I could vent without being criticized.
I wish you a safe and smooth journey across our great land and all the blessings you so richly deserve. God bless you texasdarlin. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that this is like you say ‘a pause’. There are many out here that need you. Thank you for all your hard work and patriotism.
Good Luck TD! Please, please, make it a short pause!
Good luck, TD. I visit every day but rarely post. You will be missed and I hope you have a speedy return to the blogospshere. Thank you for all the information you provide.
I am so sad to hear this news, Texas Darlin.
I post infrequently but visit every day.
BOL in your future and hope to see you back soon.
In the meantime, could we post some of the other sites we visit, to try and keep the group together?
Although I don’t post here very much I read this blog every day.You are a great writer and a tireless purveyor of the truth. You will be missed.I wish you the very best in every thing you do and I know this is selfish but I hope you won’t be gone too long.God speed.
TD, you have blessed us with a haven of reason and sanity in a nation spinning out of control. I know that moderating the posts have taken a lot of your time, but it is that which sets your blog apart from the rest. Your standards demand that we engage in civil discourse, and the give-and-take here between posters has been extraordinary and enlightening. God bless you in your travels and future endeavors. Hope to see you back here soon. God Bless America, Land That We Love!
The Lone Star State will miss ya girl….Been following you since the primaries. Hope wherever you’re goin they are gonna be ready for ya cause you kickass….Have a safe trip & hope ya get back to writin cause we need your voice….Aaaand don’t forget to pack some decent BarBQ sauce & salsa…..Thanks for this refuge site and keepin it real. Such a wonderfully witty, honest, and legitimate essay. Love it! Thank you.
“WE’LL MEET AGAIN”
This version is from the movie “Dr. Strangelove.” As I watched I visualized Obama czars and staff members physically holding their arms down trying not to give their dear leader a nazi salute because it would be bad PR.
We’ll see you again. God Bless you on your journey.
I only posted a few times but I read your blog every single day and as a conservative I felt quite at home and at ease with you. TD, stay safe and hurry back.
TD, it has been a pleasure and your blog is something I look forward to every day. Even though all of us have never actually met, I feel we have been able to share our truest thoughts and feelings regarding this past election year without fear of reprisals. You have given us a great gift and I know you will be given a great gift in return (from the Universe). All blessings to you and your family. Aloha. Until we “meet” again.
Lots of Love and Luck!!
Hope you’re back soon. I’ll miss my favorite blog.
I am overwhelmed by the comments, and so grateful for all of you.
Here’s something ya’ll will enjoy, if you haven’t seen it already:
Sarah Palin: Troubling Questions Remain About Obama’s Health Care Plan
drkate, please leave a comment for me on my blog.
Thank you so much, TD. I have appreciated your well-informed, reasoned approaches to all things political and beyond. Of course, the minute I saw “Texas Darlin” on a list of blogs during the primaries, I KNEW I had a new Lone Star State ally. To find that your posts and those of your team were way above the complaining, hopeless gotta-live-with-corrupt-politicians-until-the-next-election standard was such a gift. The Bill of Rights is still ours, IF we keep practicing its principles. Thanks to you and the well-informed, courageous blogs like Hillbuzz, NoQuarter, Liberal Rapture, We the People have a sense of what is happening in our beloved USA.
I may not agree with everything on your blog or other blogs I respect and learn from. I do agree with YOUR right and OUR right to have our say. Best wishes in your move and all your goals, and thank you so much for the heart and soul and mind you put into your blog. We the People, and internet rookies like me, are the better for it.
Looking forward to hearing from you down the road. Drive/fly safely, and don’t let anybody make fun of you for saying “Yes, Ma-am” and “No, Sir” like we were taught in this here Rebublic of Texas.
Gosh dang, I just love Texan manners.
Keep writing.
Dear Ms. Darlin:
I have never used the internet much and have never communicated on a blog except for Texas Darlin. You are my one and only “Texas” girl.
Many thanks for providing a “freedom loving” forum for my American brothers and sisters to communicate.
We do live in a wonderful country that is GREAT and still worth standing up for by the exercise of our precious First Amendment rights.
I hope that Mississippi is the beneficiary of this unexpected move but I suspect you are going somewhere other than the beautiful old city of Natchez.
Isn’t America a truly beautiful place?
I thank your site (and its contributors) for causing me to love the land of my ancestors with all of my heart.
Best,
JFD
thank you for your dedication lone star cowgirl.
FL Gov Charlie Crist healthcare reform already in place. no taxpayer $$ required:

he may run for Senate in 2010
Stay safe TD and good luck with whatever your plans are.
Everyone here is almost family and will miss you.
Best of luck on your transition, TD. I hope all your changes work out for the best
And I hope to see you around on the comment boards of other blogs in the meantime. Thank you for all of your countless hours and hard work on this blog!
I just now saw you we’re leaving TD. I have tears already. I’ve been coming here for over a year and have learned so much thanks to you and the contributors. Can you have blog withdraws? If so I’m having them. TD I will miss you. I dont write much but I come here at least 20 times a day to see whats happening. Its actually an addiction….lol. You will be missed and I want you to know that. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family. God speed! Hurry back though. Lord this is sad. I’ll miss all you guys and gals. Can we not meet somewhere else till TD comes back???? PLEASE!
God never closes a door , without opening a WINDOW!! You are entering a new opportunity and will succeed with His guidance…You are a ‘light’ no matter where you go! ‘TRUTHBEARER’ Be Blessed!!
Best of luck TD.
Thank you for all the work and inspiration you have provided to us and our Country in the name of truth and freedom.
We’ll miss you!
Hope you come back soon…
We could blog here for now.
http://thedametruth.wordpress.com/about/
Wishing great things are in store for you, TD. Best wishes.
Thank you Al
Devvy on her blog just found out that part 1 of the health
care bill was signed into law last February because has
a doctor who informed her. Quess what they did? Well,
they slipped it into the stimulus bill which nobody read -
see there is an agenda at work, so all your records of a
medical nature are now being Sovietized.
I am telling you before this is over there will be not less
than 2000 pages in total with drafts galore, and in order
to catch the shell game one has to read it all over again
before a final vote. The Senate promised to change a few
things over the uproar, so are they just going to call this
a different name and stick it in somewhere else?
Or when the final vote comes in are they going to do a
few additions at the last minute? I read the original part
of the draft and it was all a matter of intent and anyone
who is old or disabled which becomes a burden upon the
State would be dealt with by strangers on panels, and it
all comes down to money.
They and they alone decide the fate of mom, dad, granny,
grandpa, or anyone that has an expensive disability. This
is all a horror, and remember that they wanted to pass it
all so quickly, but the people woke up and began to fight;
this fight is not over. This is nothing because in this bill are
several paragraphs, whereby, all your personal and private
rights must be given up for the good of the State.
Ox, do you have a link to Devvy’s story?
Any of youse guys with a blog, can you set up a post where we can come and hang out until TD comes back? We’re all gonna be in heavy withdrawal and will need some support.
Or can we just keep talking here, unmoderated? That might be a mistake.
I didn’t realize until today how much I have to share almost every day and how empty I feel when I’ve got no place to vent. I really am grateful to TD for the past year (at least). Gee, how time flies.
We need a place to chat. Anybody?
I checked other blogs, but none are like this one. None where I feel as if I’m sitting around in a little cafe, shooting the breeze with a bunch of friends.
I’m going to miss all you guys. All of you are my friends. I luv u all and I luv TD, drkate, Bud, Sara, and all the other authors.
BFAC: Take care. Keep your head down. Thanks for being on that wall, protecting our butts every day. We luv u, 2!
You hit the nail on the head, Miri, …in a little cafe, shooting the breeze with a bunch of friends. That is how I feel here. I love all you guys out there and someone, PLEASE, we need a place to chat!!!! Love ya, Miri.
God Bless our Country and All our Heroes
Where did that come from?? Ga.Peach here.
My first post @9:38 was to Miri agreeing with …in a cafe talking with friends. When I hit submit it showed that snap name and went into moderation. Anyway, I love you all here at TD. We need a place to chat while TD is on pause. PLEASE.
God Bless USA and All our Heroes
If you want to chat, and continue our interesting discussions, let TD know. I will throw a pool party !
Margaritas too maybe !
I LOVE margaritas. I would probably get a buzz just listening to some of your adventures!! LOL. Love ya.
TD, please give Renee my email address when you can.
luv u 2!
Miri,
I feel like you’re family.
I will miss all of you, too.
TD
Miri
jbjd has a blog. Can we ask him???
jbjd might be a she. Not sure. But jbjd would like more traffic at that blog.
Not sure that’s the kind of traffic I’m talking about, where we just come in and talk about whatever. I don’t want to clutter up jbjd’s excellent lawyerly blog.
jbjd is into the legal angles of eligibility and/or impeachment. Good enough, but not broad enough of a topic for what I’m talking about.
What we need is an open thread (with some moderation, of course). The problem is finding enough moderators to keep the conversation going in real time.
Oops, I thought she was a he.
I know someone will find us a place. There are to many excellent contributors here, to go to waste. And I will miss everyone to much too.
Well, I’m not sure about which jbjd is. But for some reason, I had the impression of female. If I’m wrong, I apologize!
TD-
Travel safely, enjoy your hiatus, and hurry back to your blog. Many of us depend on you for a dose of sanity.
Anthony
Keep blogging yourself!
TD – Please accept my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for giving us this blog. I’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks while my father underwent major open heart surgery, and am just now getting caught up. This is SO not the news I wanted to return to, but whatever you do in this next chapter of your life, I’m sure you will make a positive impact there as well.
Whether true or not, I’m going to think of your cross country move as one that takes you north – to Alaska. Perhaps Sarah took you up on the offer to write for her. At least that idea makes me feel better!
Wishing you all the best!
Katie,
I wish your dad a speedy recovery.
Thank you,
TD
Here’s an example of the kind of stuff I’ll miss sharing:
Gibbs recently said (I’m not making this up):
“I can’t tell you why somebody believes, despite all preponderance of the evidence, that the president was born … here and not somewhere else.”
Yeah, I can’t tell you why anybody believes that he was born here, either! Talk about a classic Freudian slip.
The reporter wasn’t even asking Gibbs about the birth issue; it must be lurking in his brain like an invasive earwig.
Why’d he bring it up on his own, right out of the blue?
Check out the video at:
http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=106804
Correction: early in the tape, the reporter did mention the “birth certificate.”
Classic. Love it!
Yes have a link which is only given out to certain sites and
don’t want to give it, and Devvy has some other sites and
such is not registered yet, as she just released it on Aug.
13th and it is very detailed and is not yet in archived and
when it is will give the link. Devvy is an insider and in my
opinion one of the meanest bitches in the State of Texas,
and mean that kindly, as women from Texas are not to be
messed around with, and this gal kicks ass as knows all
the players in Government; Pentagon; Lawyers, and a
few of her best friends are Generals in the military.
Now, if I had your email address you would have had it
yesterday, so what can I say, as will monitor a special
site and and once it hits will give a link, as Devvy is a
gal in the State of Texas, and is a Patriot beyond the
pale, as this gal is -afraid of noboby-; not only is she a
knockout but am glad I am not married to her, as she is
and would be too much for me to handle
OX, I agree. I’m from Texas and as tough as nails. But please do give the link when available. Hum….I wonder who she could be.
What is new friend ? Missed you around. Time for a quick catch up chat maybe ?
Devvy is on the Rense.com with this info.
http://www.rense.com/politics5/cpan.htm
Ox, it’s reassuring to know that you appreciate Texas women!
Nice to *see* you again. You were missed.
Could you please reply and leave a working e-mail address that only I will see? I’d like to send you a note…
Miri,
You can start one.
I know but I already catch heck from certain members of my family for spending too much time posting on and reading blogs during my free time, and my work interferes, too, so I wouldn’t be able to moderate quickly enough to keep the conversation flowing. I’ll think about it, though; unless somebody can find us a place to crash in the meantime.
Oh wtf go to Rense.com and scroll down to Devvy and it
is called ” Obama Snuck Obama Care Past Us all all in -
FEBRUARY.
Pool party anyone ? Tell Darlin if you would like to come over, have a margarita.
Ta, Ox. Checked it out and realized when I saw it that a friend already recommended it to me. I simply never got around to following up on it.
Great job TD. Good luck in your new ventures. Hope you blog again.
TD:
I like everyone else are sorry that you have to take a break from blogging and move. I hope that your move goes well. I also hope that your blog can stay alive until you can return to it, possibly in the hands of Dr. Kate.
As a parting shot, I feel that I need to share the item below urgently and that it needs to go viral. Once again the truth is in plain sight if only we will look for it.
A caller into Hannity got it right. The Healthcare bill is being pushed for passage now but won’t go into effect until 2013, after the next election. This is strictly a political move!!!!!!
Because no one will lose their private coverage and no one will be denied treatment under Medicare before the next election, all of Obama’s promises will appear to have been kept and he stands a better chance of being reelected (4 MORE years??!! and then what?). If a republican (or a moderate democrat) is elected, then all of the blame for the problems will be put on the successor’s shoulders. The Healthcare bill will act as a “poison pill”.
TD-
Thanks so much for all you have done here. You and your contributors and commenters have been a wealth of inspiration and provided a wealth of information. I can’t tell you how much it means and how much credibility it adds to hear all this coming from a liberal.
I wish you well and hope you will be back ASAP!
I appreciate you greatly.
JanH
TD,
There’s something about your blog that’s drawn me in a way no other has. I believe it’s the common drive to expose truth and seek justice in the light of the Constitution, regardless of our many perspectives. In any case, thank you for creating this helpful and comfortable place.
When you say, “…put on pause”, are you anticipating pressing PLAY again once things resettle?
Regardless, I wish you all the best in your new endeavor.
TD,
Thanks so much for all that you have done for all of us. I am sure that he effort is really time-consuming and I can understand how you might need a break to give other aspects of your life much needed attention.
You know, the wonderful guys at “Hillbuzz” had a similar interruption … personal matters made it necessary for them to “be away” for several months … and many of us missed them terribly and found ourselves checking in several times a day to see whether they were back yet.
I am glad to say that they are back now and trying to get back up to speed and back in the swing of things. But it is very comforting that they are back and many of us are ecstatic that they have returned. They are great guys and were sorely missed. now, although they have a different style at Hillbuzz, their hearts are very definitely in the right place. They started out as Hillary supporters in Chicago, but after the appalling caucus shenanigans, they began their blog, and now serve as an information exchange and an inspiration — similar to many of the “friends” who post and comment at this site.
Anyway, TD, again we will miss you terribly while you are away … but, no matter how long …we will be thinking of you and hope that all of your matters are dispatched successfully. and we look forward to your return.
Anyway, take care, we will miss you — good luck and God Bless….
One thing may keep us alive while we suffer through td’s absence…
THE OBAMA FILE RETURNS!!!!!
“Latest News” posts resume tomorrow – August 15!!!!!
…btw…make a donation to both TD and The Obama File. If you love ‘em, show ‘em with some green $$!!!
Good luck! and thanks for the landing pad!
If you don’t already…start shopping at WHOLE FOODS!

Thanks TD for this safe haven we have all shared over the past months…I looked forward daily to your blog and loved to come see what you had uncovered for the day. We will all miss you and look forward to your return..In the meantime, good luck and God speed on your new adventure…
Godspeed. Thanks for defending the truth. I think the lure of blogging will be too compelling for you to ignore for long.
And don’t forget to put the toilet paper in the truck last!!
I agree w/ everyone. This has been an oasis of truth, and I don’t believe that I adequately expressed my appreciation for this blog, TD other than wishing you all the best with your move.
When you return, please post a snail mail P.O. box where we can send contributions. Yes, this blog, The Obama File and Atlas Shrugged are la creme de la creme.
I will sincerely miss all of you. Yes, as Patti posted on 8/13 we have indeed all been in this together.
Fondly, RW
Know how consuming operating this blog must have been, many times to the exclusion of all else, but selfishly hope your absence is short term.
In these times, we all worry about the truth tellers like yourself. Godspeed and take good care.
God Speed, texasdarlin
Yours was the first blog I ever read. I consider myself fortunate to have started with the best. There is no other forum that has the camaraderie I have found here. You will be sorely missed.
I join with everyone else in hoping your pause will be short-lived, and will be checking back often while I wait for the site to go live again.
Best wishes in your new venture. Come back to us soon.
In the sixth month of his presidency, Obama has turned an economic downturn into an economic disaster, taking over and trashing entire companies, and driving the nation deep into deficit spending expected to pass 10 trillion dollars.
Abroad, Obama seems to have no other mode except to continue on with his endless campaign, confusing speechmaking with diplomacy. It is natural enough that Obama, who built his entire campaign on high profile public speeches reported on by an adoring press, understands how to do nothing else but that.
While the press is still chewing over Obama’s Cairo speech, this celebrity style coverage ignores the fact that Obama’s endless world tour is not actually accomplishing anything. Instead his combination of ego driven photo op appearances and clueless treatment of foreign dignitaries have alienated many of America ’s traditional allies. Those who aren’t being quietly angry at Obama, like Brown, Merkel or Netanyahu, instead think of him as absurdly lightweight, as Sarkozy, King Abdullah or Putin do.
While his officials carry out their dirty economic deeds, Obama responds to any and every crisis as if it were a Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland musical, with a cry of, “Let’s put on a show.” Thus far Obama has put on “shows” across America , Europe and the Middle East .. And what the adoring media coverage neglects to cover, is that Obama’s shows have solved absolutely nothing. They have served only as high profile entertainment.
Neither alienating America ’s traditional allies, through a combination of arrogant bullying and ignorance, nor appeasing America ’s enemies, has yielded any actual results. Nor does it seem likely to. Islamic terrorism is not going anywhere, neither are the nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran . While Obama keeps smiling, the global situation keeps growing more grim.
At home, if Obama was elected as depression era entertainment, the charm of his smiles and his constant appearances on magazine covers appear to be wearing thin on the American public. Despite the shrill attacks on Rush Limbaugh or the Republican Enemy of the Week– the Democratic party of 2009, is polling a lot like the Republican party of 2008. The Democrats have suddenly become the incumbents, and the only accomplishment they can point to is lavish deficit spending, often on behalf of the very same corporations and causes they once postured against.
The European Union Parliament’s swing to the right cannot be credited to Obama, though doubtlessly some European voters seeing socialist economic crisis management on display in the world’s richest country decided they wanted none of it, but it is part of a general turning against federalism. And Obama’s entire program is dependent on heavily entrenching federalism at the expense of individual and state’s rights. Yet that is precisely his achilles heel with independent voters who are polling against more taxes and expanded government. And no amount of speeches by Obama can wish away his 32 czars or the national debt he has foisted on generation after generation of the American people.
That leaves Obama with a choice between socialism and the independent voter. And thus far he has chosen socialism.
Obama’s tactic of hijacking Bush Administration era policies on the economy and the War on Terror, and exploiting them as trojan horses to promote his own agenda, have left him coping with a backlash from his own party, as well as general Republican opposition.
His Czars are meant to function as the bones in an executive infrastructure accountable to no one, but a lack of accountability isn’t just another word for tyranny, but for incompetence. A functional chain of command is accountable at multiple levels if it is to function effectively. Obama’s White House by contrast is in a state of over-organized chaos, the sort of organized disorganization that undisciplined egotistical leftists naturally create for themselves, complete with multiple overlapping levels of authority and no one in charge but the man at the top, who’s too busy doing other things to actually be in charge.
Dennis Blair as National Intelligence, who collaborated with the Muslim genocide of Christians in East Timor , trying to muscle out the CIA to create his own intelligence network, is typical of the kind of chaos being spawned by every chief in an expanding government bureaucracy working to make sure that all the Indians answer to him. Similarly the National Security Council wrestling with the State Department, highlighted by Samantha Power getting her own specially created NSC position to butt heads with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, illustrates the state of conflict and chaos in American foreign affairs. A state of chaos so pervasive that incompetence has now become commonplace, and no one can even be found to double check the spelling of a Russian word that is meant to be the theme of American’s diplomatic reconstruction with Russia , or to pick out a gift for the visiting British P rime Minister.
Meanwhile on the economy, Obama exploited the ongoing bailouts, transforming them from bailouts into takeovers meant to shift the balance of power in what had been a democracy and socially engineer not only corporations, but the lives of ordinary Americans. But the public’s patience with corporate bailouts is at an end, most Americans were never happy with them to begin with, and want them to end. The death of Chrysler at the hands of Fiat and the UAW might look like a victory in the union ranks, but it doesn’t play too well outside Detroit . And tacking on CAFE standards that will kill the pickup truck and the SUV will badly erode Obama in the swing states, if exploited properly in 2010 and 2012. Despite the constant media barrage, orchestrated out of the White House, the public is growing disenchanted with the performance of Obama and the Democrats.
With unemployment booming and the economy dropping, the jobs aren’t there and the spending is out of control. Republicans today are polling better on ethics and the economy, than the Democrats are. That shows a trend which is likely to register in the mid-term elections in 2010, in the same way that the EU parliamentary elections served as a shock to the system.
In the opposition, Republicans are free to embrace the rhetoric of change, to champion reform and push libertarian ideas about the size and scope of government. In turn all Obama has is his celebrity fueled media spectacle world tour. A charade now serving as a parallel to the depression era entertainment that functioned as escapism in a dour time. But before long, it may be Obama that the American public will want to escape from.
Obama has tried to play Lincoln, Reagan, JFK and FDR– but in the end he can only play himself, a shallow, manipulative and egotistical amateur who is in over his head, and trying to drag the country down with him. Obama’s White House is falling down and while the flashbulbs are still glittering and the parties are going on in D.C. and around the world, Obama and the Democratic Congress may be headed for a recession of their own.
SING ALONG to the tune of London Bridges…..
Obama’s house is falling down…
falling down..
falling down…
Obams’s house is falling down,
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
Thanks so much for your efforts, Texasdarlin. Will certainly miss the top-notch stuff produced here. One of my first-checked sites nightly. Best of luck with the move and everything else.
Best wishes TD. You will be missed.
Today, Glenn Beck did a R.I.P. on “Gate”, now we have “er”. We have been labeled ‘birthers’, now ‘deathers’. I guess that makes many of us “CONSTITITIONERS”.
Fine by me.
Glenn Beck believes in God, family and country. None of these will survive without the other. Beck has stood tall and has put himself out there for all of us to remain free. Each and everyone of us have been wounded going through this battle of life. Together, we will heal those wounds and the scars will forever remind all where we traveled and to NEVER take those wrong turns again. It will take ALL of us. It is time to be a community again. It is time for US to be the community organizers.
Terrible mistake…must spell check.
CONSTITUTIONERS !!!!!!
I prefer the term “constitutionalists.”
Not trying to change that Tony. Just trying to put a little humor in the “er” announcement.
You have to see this. Maybe drkate knows where this is at.
http://www.proliberty.com/observer/20090609.htm
Hi there…I think this was debunked and is actually in Korea. It would not be a secret if it was in Wyoming, there would be too many jobs involved!
There are military bases in Cheyenne and military helicopters are seen often over here, especially when Cheney ws around. But obama is in yellowstone this weekend so I saw the big transport plane this afternoon…
A TRIBUTE TO TEXASDARLIN
Found on my new, fledging website….I know TD has to do what she does but for me it was my home in writing about the constitution. So I’ve set up a new blog until I find a new home, and dedicated the first article to TD.
I hope you will join me there as well as keeping up here, which I intend to as well. I would like to keep focusing on the constitution and eventually will try to get TD’s major articles over there.
All help is welcome in setting up this site, contributing, and helping to carry on. I know I cannot meet TD’s excellent blog, but want to offer a space we can all continue. Thank you all!
http://drkatesview.wordpress.com/
WTG Dr. Kate…give me a day and I will be there….You are comfort for all of us! Hey….I feel no longer left in the cold…Thank you!
emmm set up a comment spot so we can spill too!
Miri, renae, Jd and ALL…. hurry over!
TD, this is the best blog on the sphere, I will truly miss you and all the work you have done here. Good Luck!
TD
There are no sweeter sounds than the words freedom, liberty, free speech, free will …
your blog has played those notes and sounds with grace and elegance …
best of luck … here’s to the new songs in your heart that are surely in your future!
TD, thank you so much for this wonderful blog. I don’t post very often but I’m always reading. Renew and regenerate yourself and hopefully be back soon!
I will miss the thoughtful voices that are on here. Even when I’ve disagreed with some I’ve always come back to other opinions posted by those voices because of the reasoned responses. We’re never going to agree on everything and people here accept that.
Now if we could just get the rest of society to act like this most of our problems would be solved.
Hurry Back TD, you have created a monster !
In the interim go to this other FANTASTIC site:
http://www.lucianne.com/
TD: Dittos to all accolades stated above. For me, you have been a breath of fresh air in this cesspool of corruption.
God bless you on your future journey’s and I hope to see you back sooner than later!
We’re all familiar with the terms POTUS and TOTUS, but how about WTPOTUS?
“We the People of the United States”.
This is purely experimental at this point, but try posting a comment at http://wtpotus.wordpress.com/
Thanks.
TD,
If you leave a comment at WTPOTUS, I will make you an administrator. I know that you don’t have any time now to actually do any administrating, but I want you to have those privileges if and when you choose to exercise them. This new blog is not meant to be “mine” (I already have my own blog), but rather “ours” (the TD community), and it wouldn’t be the same without you!
Sincerely,
Red Pill
There is a new poll at http://www.onenewsnow.com asking if GOP Pres. primary were held today, who would you most likely vote for?? Just guess who is way ahead?? 60% Sarah out of 44,941 votes.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/UIPAObama/
Best wishes to you and yours, TD – I look forward to your return. Thanks to you, I’ve ‘met’ a great bunch of Patriots across the web, and also learned more than I ever wanted to about that damnable usurper in our White House. I really do believe he belongs in Leavenworth, as there is no way – as an English speaking lawyer – he can claim ignorance of the law !!
Stay safe, stay strong, stay ACTIVE!
Now , that I have got over my initial shock at news of “pause,” please believe I will miss you very much. I send all my best wishes , heartfelt thanks and prayers for your happiness and total success in all that you do. God bless you and your family.
TD said she was just going to be on a break and will be
back, as can read between the words lol. She is not at
all going away forever, so don’t let her fool you, as we
will have to call her a TD Obama gal or whatever. Now
if I am wrong will say a final goodbye to a lady that I
know not, but saw a sense of class with comments to
others that was polite; told some to go to hell as she
would never disclose an identity; gave free speech to
a point; and spoke her mind.
I have no idea who TD is, but if she is married what a
lucky man her husband is with her as a wife, and wish
I would be so lucky. TD is a patriot with issues; a love
for her country; and established this forum as a means
for all us to vent and it was an educational process for
all us to learn something, and we all need to listen and
learn knowledge from each other, and TD gave us this.
TD gave us a place to vent and for such she is a person
that should be awarded for this effort. I wish her well in
whatever path she is taking in life, and am sorry to see
her go, but if such is the case on a permanent basis I
wish her the best; may the angels bless her for efforts
made; take care of yourself; and go in peace always.
Take care TD. Good luck and thank you for having
one of the best blogs that has drawn a crowd of great commenters. You will be missed.
I have been away from blogging for a few days and have just seen TD’s notice of suspension of blogging. I am devastated. This site has informed me, calmed me, fired me up — all that and more — this past year, and I know I am not alone in praying that somehow we will all be together again soon under the firm and fair aegis of Texas Darlin’. God speed, y’all!
Thank you, Yankeegirl, for being part of this blog. See you soon.
“I know I am not alone in praying that somehow we will all be together again soon under the firm and fair aegis of Texas Darlin’”
We all hope that TD makes a quick comeback and this “blog pause” becomes “blog resume”.
In the mean time, you are welcome to join many of your TD blog friends over at the new “We the People of the United States” blog…
wtpotus.wordpress.com
Are you back yet? I know wishful thinking. You are soooooo missed!! hugs
Hugs back!
Had to post this as it’s too funny…..
http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=107163
Hey
I saw that yesterday …here’s my take on it
http://www.hillarynme.com/2009/08/18/obama-is-52-years-old-not-48-stop-the-presses-so-his-citizenship-problems-are-over-right/
TD, maybe you need this time and space and move to clear your head and heal your soul and body. My computer crashed a week ago and I have one donated by my sweet neice. I almost fell out of my chair when I finally got to log on and saw that you were “pausing” your website again. It can only be for the best. You take care and whereever you go whatever you do stay safe and stay strong. We need you as our number one patriot. You’ve made my heart swell with pride to be an American. Love to you TD.
TD, Thanks so much for all your hard work and for giving us a home when TM was no longer invitiing. Your blog has the right flavor, not too rigid and not too loose..just the right touch.
You deserve a break to smell the roses and reinvent yourself. Though it’s sad you are suspending your blog, I wish for your continued progress of prosperity, love and success…keep on truckin’ mama.
TD,
I’m so sad. Come back soon:) I’m praying for you during this break!
BFAC!
We all worry about you.
Thank you so much for being a part of this blog community. Most importantly, thank you for serving your country.
Be safe.
TD
You’ve always been such an integral part of our fight. Even though I’ve never posted any comments here, I do check your blog regularly as I do enjoy your writings. Thank you for always showing so much charm and elegance in discussing politics, and you are usually one that many of us learn from around here. We will certainly miss you dearly while you are gone persuing your important endeavors.
BFAC, good to hear from you. Some of us are over here, in the meantime, until TD’s back in business:
http://wtpotus.wordpress.com/
Take care, BFAC and TD, until we all meet again.
TD,
Like many, I am a regular reader, but an intermittent poster. I read your blog most days, and have found it welcoming, insightful, inspirational, and instructional. While I’m not a PUMA, nor a Hillary fan, I have always felt welcome. Good luck with your move and life. I’ll keep my eyes open for your return.
Jeff
BFAC, we’re also at Dr. Kate’s new blog:
