An Exhausted PUMA’s Election Day List of Reasons for Voting McCain-Palin
Reason One:
I trust John McCain to protect and defend my country from an increasingly complex and expanding roster of worldwide enemies. He has the experience, temperament, judgment, and gravitas to be America’s Commander-in-Chief in times of crisis, or otherwise. I do NOT trust Obama on any of these scores.
Reason Two:
Both John McCain and Sarah Palin have proven records of opposing their own party’s majority, sometimes in the face of enormous pressure and hostility, in defense of their convictions. This is a rare characteristic among elected officials, and one I greatly admire. In contrast, I have no confidence that Obama has any core convictions that he would not easily bargain away for political expediency.
Reason Three:
Barack Obama is unprepared and ill-experienced for the job of President and Commander-and-Chief. His accomplishments are virtually non-existent, and his record of representation on behalf of Illinois constituents in the State Senate is pathetic. As President Clinton said many months ago (and the WSJ echoed on its Nov. 3 editorial page): voting for Obama is a roll-of-the-dice. He was right!
Reason Four:
Barack Obama lies. He lies so quickly and so often, it seems like second nature. Sure, all politicians bend the truth occasionally, but Obama seems unable to discern fact from fiction. His dishonesty is even more disturbing because it’s executed with such audacity! Just a few days ago, Obama said he didn’t know his aunt was an illegal alien. He said that he didn’t know Ayers was head of Weather Underground and tried to blow up other Americans. He said he never knew Rev. Wright’s sermons were so racist and anti-American. And he assumes we’ll believe him! This trait feels pathological to me, and causes me extreme anxiety. I will never trust him to be straight with the American people. In contrast, I DO trust John McCain to be honest.
Reason Five:
Obama is attracted to, and attracts, friends and associates who are bigoted (racist, anti-Semitic), anti-American, and violent. This is a pattern that goes back decades. To some degree, one who seeks to be leader of the free world must be judged by the company he chooses to keep. At minimum, these associations are indicative of poor judgment. More likely, they are indicative of a shared value system.
Reason Six:
Related to Reason Five — I believe that Obama’s core philosophical values are extreme, and rooted in the teachings of Marx, Alinsky, and other radical revolutionaries. I am a lifelong liberal Democrat, and these ideas are too extreme even for me.
Reason Seven:
I question whether Obama is patriotic, and whether he would automatically put “country first.” I don’t trust that his foremost priority is preservation of America’s position in the world. I am concerned that Obama will overly defer to the interests of other nations, some of which may wish to diminish our standing. With McCain and Palin, I have no such concern. I am certain that McCain and Palin are completely committed to keeping America strong on every front in the international arena.
Reason Eight:
Barack Obama is secretive. He has refused to disclose basic records and facts of his life. It makes me wonder who he is, what his agenda is, what he is hiding.
Reason Nine:
John McCain and Sarah Palin have asked for, and fought for, my vote. They have demonstrated the utmost respect for, and humility towards, ALL citizens and voters. Obama acts as if he is owed my vote, as if he is entitled to be President. He is not humble! I want my President to remember who she/he serves; that to be President is to be the ultimate public servant. Not King of the World!
Reason Ten:
I cannot reward a candidate or a political party that cheats, nor can I reward a candidate or party that display disrespect towards women.
Now that I’ve written ten reasons, I realize that I could easily write ten more. But it’s late and a long day awaits me.
VOTE McCAIN PALIN. Country First.

Great! I’m posting this on my site as I’m a PUMA too exhausted to write my own list today and you’ve said this so well.
Why did I vote for McCain and Palin? Because Obama is the reincarnation of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
Well said, but I agree that the list could go on and on and on! Obama is not the man he portrays himself to be; he wants to destroy the U.S.
This is long but a MUST READ:
