Update 2, 10/12/08 10:40 AM ET: Since originally posting this story Saturday, Atty. Philip Berg’s office informed us that they cannot discuss this matter due to pending litigation, which is understandable. They also informed us that Berg is NOT collaborating with Ed Hale, moderator of a site, “Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain” and host of a radio show. We have had no direct contact with Ed Hale, and have no idea whether he’s truthful or not. Whether or not the “tip” we received is accurate, only time will tell. At this time, we have no further independent verification. However, the reason we published this story and the reason we will keep the story on this blog is that the language in Berg’s filing — which is a matter of public record — is specific about the Kenyan birth place, and we assume that the claim is based on something besides wishful thinking.

TD Foreword: Those who have followed this blog know that our working assumption has been that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. We have asserted that Obama’s legal name and citizenship changed when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, and that the birth certificate image published on Obama’s campaign website does not reflect current records. You can read the previous articles referenced at the end of this post to catch up on our analysis.
We now wonder if our assumption about Obama’s birth place was wrong.
I have received an unverified tip that certified copies of a Kenyan Birth Certificate (BC) for Obama were sent from Kenya, and have been received by three separate individuals. I am told that these documents are certified, with an embossed seal, and display the name of the hospital where Obama was born, as well as witness signatures.
Reportedly this BC reflects information filed Oct. 9 by Philip Berg. See item #18 on this docket, page 10, the relevant language of which, underlined in red, is captured here in a screen shot:
It reads:
…Obama was born at Coast Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya located in Coast Province…
We do not currently have any additional confirmation of this new information. If it is an accurate tip, the implications are disastrous for Senator Obama and his backers. For that analysis, we proceed to Judah Benjamin…

It has been asserted by a number of sources, including Andy Martin, that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya and not in Hawaii. Philip Berg’s Latest Motion to the Court is more explicit since it gives an exact Place of Birth. I must assume that Berg did not simply pluck the Location out of thin air, Mombasa has more than one Hospital, though Coast Provincial General was the best in 1961.
British Birth Certificates have a Standard Format which has been more or less the same since 1837 and they can only be challenged in a British Court. Kenyan Law is explicit and can only be challenged in a Kenyan Court. Indonesian Law is explicit and can only be challenged in an Indonesian Court. Be clear, if Obama was born in Kenya this is not simply a matter for the US Courts, or US Law.
If he was born in Kenya, and his parents were Legally Married [which on the Preponderance of Evidence they were, his father's first "Marriage" being a Tribal, or Village, Marriage, which was not Legally Recognized] due to the age of his mother he would NOT have been a US Citizen. The Immigration and Nationality Act 1952, 8 U.S.C. 1401. Sec. 301 (g) [Effective November 14, 1986] does not apply, nor does Title III, Immigration and Nationality Act Section 309. [8 U.S.C. 1409].
Unless he has taken the Oath of Allegiance as a Naturalized Citizen since he was 18 years old, and if he was born in Mombasa, Kenya, Barack Hussein Obama II would not be a US Citizen, period. The issue of whether or not he was Natural Born under Article II of the Constitution of the United States would cease to matter and he would need to be Deported as an Illegal Alien.
Impeachment as a Senator would seem not to be necessary since he would never Legally have been one, but Diane Feinstein and the members of the Senate Ethics and Rules Committee would be liable to Impeachment. So would their opposite numbers in the Illinois Senate and the appropriate officials of the Illinois State Supreme Court and Bar, so far as I can see.
If Senator Barack Hussein Obama II was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7.24 PM on August 4th 1961, or at any other time, he is not a Natural Born Citizen of these United States and he never was. Philip J Berg, Esq, is correct, under the Nationality Act of 1940, as Revised June 1952 and in accord with United States of America vs Cervantes-Nava 281 F 3d 501 (2002) and Drozd vs INS, 155 F 3d 81, 85-88 (2d Circuit 1998) Senator Barack Hussein Obama II would not ever have been a Legal US Citizen at all, unless he was Naturalized.
If he was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya any Certificate, or Certification of Live Birth, issued for him by the State of Hawaii is a Fraudulent and Illegal Document. At Birth he would have been a UK and Colonies Citizen and in accord with the Kenyan Constitution he would have become a Kenyan Citizen in December 1963. He would not have been a US Citizen.
Alternatively, his UK and Colonies Birth Certificate issued in Mombasa in August 1961 could be a Fraudulent and Illegal Document. The two BCs would need to be compared. By this I mean the Original Vault Copy of the Hawaiian Birth Certificate and not the Amended, Post Adoption, Copy, Legally available to the Senator, assuming he was, as indicated by the Preponderance of Evidence, Adopted by Lolo Soetoro. This case might also need to go through the UK and Kenyan Courts and becomes a Matter of International Law and Controversy.
If Barack Hussein Obama II was born at The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7:24 PM on August 4th 1961, or at any other time, it is certain that he is not Eligible to hold the Offices of POTUS or VPOTUS and highly probable that he is not Legally entitled to hold the Office of Senator either and that he was not Eligible to be an Illinois State Senator.
In that event the Senate Ethics and Rules Committee, Chair Diane Feinstein, have a problem because they are responsible for the Certification of a Candidate’s Compliance with Constitutional Requirements, a job they would have conspicuously failed to do. Should he be Elected the poisoned Chalice would pass to Nancy Pelosi because as Speaker of the House she, and the House, have the Responsibility to ensure that the President Elect can Effectively be Sworn In and Legally Assume the Office and Duties of the President.
Be very clear here, if Barack Hussein Obama II was born at The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7:24 PM on August 4th 1961, or at any other time, Diane Feinstein’s Committee have already failed in their Duty, as has every Secretary of State in the Union.
Let me repeat myself, if Barack Hussein Obama II was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7:24 PM on August 4th 1961, or at any other time, he is not a Natural Born Citizen of these United States and he never was, he is not even a Citizen by Birth. I had assumed ab initio that Obama was born in Hawaii and that his Hawaiian Paperwork was basically “on the up and up”, I could not conceive that a lie of this magnitude was possible, I thought that the INS would have caught on long since. If he is a US Citizen under these circumstances his Oath of Allegiance must be on Record somewhere. If it isn’t he is not a US Citizen.
Hawaii may Legally be able to Issue a Birth Certificate under these circumstances, according to their own Code, but it would breach of International and Federal Law if they have. It would breach Hawaiian Law if the Place of Birth is spurious.
“[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.
(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.”
So by that section he could get a certificate claiming Hawaiian birth even if he was physically born outside the US but the Place of Birth would need to be correctly recorded.
Understand, the Hawaiian Authorities may be able to Issue a Hawaiian Birth Certificate under these circumstances but they cannot make you a US Citizen. A child born in Kenya to and underage US Female and a UK and Colonies Citizen in 1961 was not born a US Citizen under any US Federal Law, under British Law, or International Law. The only way such an Individual could be a US Citizen in terms of the XIVth Amendment, or any Statute, or Code of US Federal Law is by Naturalization.
Under Common Law no Person can Testify as to their own Place of Birth, this is established Law upheld by stare decisis. Therefore it would be possible, even given the he was born in Kenya, for Obama to claim that he believed a Hawaiian Birth Certificate made him a US Citizen under the XIVth Amendment and that therefore he was acting in Good Faith running for an Office which he was Constitutionally Incapable of Holding. Unfortunately for him, his actions in regard to the Admission of his UK & Colonies and Kenyan Citizenships and his Indonesian Citizenship by Adoption, his frequent apparent Breaches of the Logan Act, his probable breaches of the Hobbs Act, the Hatch Act, USC Title 18 Part One Chapter 63 § 1346 and the RICO Statute make this Defense wholly Untenable, especially when one considers the fact that he holds a JD from Harvard Law. One may throw in the Misprision Statute for good measure. It is difficult to find any action or statement of Obama’s since 1992 that could be used to suggest Good Faith could be used as a Defense in this Case. I am not saying that Obama is Guilty of any of these Felonies or High Misdemeanors, only that his actions and pronouncements are such as to lead to a reasonable suspicion that he may be.
Under INA §349 “2. taking an oath or making an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state or a political subdivision thereof after having attained the age of eighteen years.” This is an “Expatriating Clause”, if you hold Dual Citizenship and do this you void your US Citizenship. Well Obama campaigned actively for Odinga in Kenya and apparently also took some kind of Luo Tribal Loyalty Oath. He may also have joined Odinga’s party. Of course his Dual Nationality lapsed in 1982 but INA §349 could, perhaps, still apply here, if he was born in Mombasa. It might even be concluded that Obama was providing grounds to restore his Kenyan Citizenship by Prime Ministerial Decree, which is Legal under the Kenyan Constitution. That would certainly look Expatriating to me, but I do not know how a Court would react.
There is indirect reason to believe that this may be true. “2d Session S. RES. 511: Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.: In the Senate of the United States.” was Sponsored by Senator McCaskill and co-sponsored by Senators Leahy, Obama, Coburn, Clinton and Webb. Why? Why were Democratic Senators trying to pass a Resolution making Senator McCain undoubtedly Legally Eligible when this issue had already been cleared up in 2000 and again in 2004? And why did Senators McCaskill and Obama reportedly insert the following Clause?
“Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President;”
This Clause has no particular relevance to McCain and the following Clause, which it is reported McCaskill and Obama attempted to REMOVE shows that:
“; and Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936:”
It seems clear that McCaskill and Obama were attempting to create a blanket Resolution covering ALL Foreign Born candidates. Why do that if not to benefit a Foreign Born Democratic Candidate, who did not have a US Military background?
McCain did not need this resolution, Richardson did not need this Resolution, so far as I can see nobody needed this Resolution unless somebody in the race was born outside the USA and was “Covering his/her Ass” and the only individual in the race that that could apply to was Senator Obama! This in turn would show that the Senator is a liar who has been peddling untruths about his birth for at least 16 years!
Likewise it would explain why Michelle Obama tried trawling the “very single mother” canard. Were he illegitimate there is precedent and Statute that says if his parents were unmarried at the time of his birth he would have become a Citizen of the USA at Birth under Title III of the Immigration and Nationality Act Section 309. [8 U.S.C. 1409]. However, as Miller v Albright, 523 US 420 (1998) demonstrates there is, and was, a split in the Supreme Court as to whether this Law is in fact Constitutional under the XIVth Amendment. A new case might change the precedent. For now it stands.
I do not insist that any of this is true and to me it makes little difference if it is, I hold him Ineligible anyway and have seen no solid Legal Rebuttal of my view from any source, but if he was born in Kenya he has, and can have, no defense of any description and any Document he has from Hawaii is Fraudulent on several levels. To hold the Office of POTUS one must be a Natural Born United States Citizen, if he was born in Mombasa Obama probably isn’t even a United States Citizen much less Natural Born. He would be guilty of Fraud and a list of other offenses and any and all persons who had aided him would be guilty of Misprision, in all probability.

October Surprise: Obama Not a Natural Born Citizen (Must See Video)
If Berg’s suit succeeds, the results will absolutely be devastating and far reaching as far as the Democratic Party is concerned. It will open the entire party to numerous class action lawsuits. It is little wonder then that the DNC joined Obama in his motion to dismiss the suit and for Protective Order Staying Discovery pending Decision on their Motion to Dismiss.
What ultimately would be tragic for Obama is that if he had stayed a US Senator and not run for the Presidency, no one would have delved deeply into his background and tried to verify his true citizenship status. He could have had a long career in the Senate; instead he may just find himself wearing handcuffs in a flight to Kenya or Indonesia because of his blind ambition.

In the interests of possible disinformation — at which the Obama campaign has shown significant skill — have you personally seen any of these three independently-confirmed certificates?

Of course, the question is: where are the three certified copies, who is in possession of same?
And if this is true, based on the real deal then not only is Barack Obama guilty of gross fraud and malfeasance but so is the DNC and the majority of Dems supporting this sham.
Worse? I don’t even know how I hope this falls. Either way is a complete disaster for the country: Barack Obama as POTUS; Barack Obama and the Democratic Party completely discredited.
But if this is really the case then the documents must be revealed to the electorate and the proper authorities assembled before the election.

Okay … here are my thoughts and questions…which I’m sure are shared by all who read this blog:
1. Who has these documents?
2. When did they get them and who got it for them?
3. Are they provably legitimate?
4. If 3 is a yes, when do they plan to release this information and what’s the reason for not disclosing?
(I’m not really asking you texasdarlin since you’ve said you don’t have any more information…but I’m throwing these questions out there in case someone can fill in any pertinent details)

Someone should–we all should–contact Sen. Feinstein and ask that this information, the circumstances of his birth, be revisited, that facts and proofs be provided. This would not be to demand, or blame, but because the people deserve to have the matter cleared up.
Of course they won’t do anything because of the Berg case, and because they are afraid of the truth, yet the truth may be that O is qualified. If so, I want to know. There are too many questions.
It would REALLY be nice if the folks who have certified copies of Obama’s Kenyan BC would post them on the internet. So, IMHO, this is what I believe is the status:
My guess about who has copies follows: 1) Bill & Hillary Clinton, 2) the Republican Party, & 3) Phillip Berg.
The reason the Clintons are waiting is because they know they can’t win in November. Bringing out the BC will so demoralize black Democrats, they won’t go to the polls to vote and the Democrats will lose – BIG TIME!
The Republicans are holding back because they prefer to win this election on the issues and presenting better ideas for governing. Conservatives consider using gimmicks (truly!) to win an elective office dishonorable. Doesn’t that sound like something McCain would say?

Now the game’s ball is in the Judge’s ball court, so to speak. Everything I’ve heard or read about this judge is that he is honest and a careful legal mind.

By the way, Judah Benjamin, I have a small quibble with your use of the phrase “or at any other time” unless, of course, you mean time of day. If BHO II was born late enough (not meaning time of day), his mother would be old enough (14+5 years) for him to qualify for citizenship. Not that it’s likely, of course.

My reason for asking is that we are all frustrated, angry and desperate to keep this malevolent “Man Who Never Was” out of the White House, and I would hate to see a red herring thrown in the path at this point.
If this is true, then I only hope that the “poison chalice” does indeed make the rounds of all the ninnies that wouldn’t go into it. They would have let the country down as much as any spy or terrorist by letting this happen.
And actually I’ve never thought it too hard to believe that he was born in Kenya. I am the same age Ann would be, if alive–I can imagine that it would have been difficult, but a very exciting adventure, to run off to Mombasa, and she seems like the kind of rebel that would do it. In the Berg video he mentions O’s paternal grandmother talking about being there for the delivery, along with other relatives.

Maybe Bill&Hill gave their copy to Berg when it was obvious that the nomination was stolen, which would explain the late start. Then another party could have the third copy. I think Corsi and the Repubs are the other two.
As far as those individuals who may have the Kenyan BC, one possibility is Corsi himself who may have acquired it during his recent trip to Kenya. If so, then I hope he unveils it during his interview with Hannity and Colmes this coming Monday.

So THIS is why Obama on his website claims he is a US citizen by the 14th amendment, and further explains–as I always have thought–why the Senate Resolution 511 was passed and had Leahy, McCatskill and Obama’s involvement.
Now to blend the natural born and citizenship (allegiance) aspects is really THE CASE against Soetoro-Obama. All the information is here on this blog.
It also points to Anne Dunham’s manipulation of the system, going back to HI to register the births to secure US citizenship, securing US passports for Obama (and half sister Maya?), and other ways she either used or was assisted by the system in perpetuating fraud. OBama will claim of course he wasn’t at fault for his mother’s actions, but he is an adult and knows what he is doing.
Purposely bringing on a constitutional crisis, almost daring everyone to really push it, using threats and intimidation to silence his opponents.

Yes that was reported, and I don’t have further information on that.
But as Judah pointed out, it would be possible for Hawaii to have issued a BC to Obama even if he were born in Kenya, although it should accurately indicate the place of his birth.
I have a question I don’t know if anyone has an answer. Where was the sister born? Is she a US citizen? Can we verify that the mother remained a US citizen? I thought that when she married she became an Indonesian citizen. Since she is deceased can we access records about her citizenship?

No, getting Obama removed because he’s not a citizen is not a gimmick (assuming this is true). Its protecting the Constitution, which is as conservative of a value as you can get.

If he is right, the DNC is the least of our problems. The USA, in regards to our CIA and FBI, will lose all credibility in the world. We talk a good game about cleaning other countries’ garbage and can’t even vet one of our own? So from a security standpoint, it’s bad. And then, there’s the financial aspect. Just imagine what it’ll be like if Obama does become president and this comes out later. The stock market will see disastrous times while our country reel from impeachment talks.

Didn’t the GOP send 3 people to Kenya last winter to get this BC? If this tip is true, the Republicans are holding at least one of these copies. Berg has said this from the start. They will reveal it one or two weeks before election day so the DNC cannot recover in time.

I agree that this situation is definitely NOT a “gimmick.”
When this technicality finally disqualifies Obama for the Presidency, it will be complete irony. Obama used technicalities to get all of his opponents thrown off the ballot while running for the Illinois state senate years ago. (If I’m not mistaken, former U.S. Congresswoman Alice Palmer was one of those opponents – and the one who discovered Obama.)
I suppose Obama must have learned of his Kenyan birth when he visited the Gradmother in Kenya for the first time. I think that was certainly before he got into politics – before his first book anyway. I understand that after her first interview with the western press she has clammed up. That makes two Obama grandmothers that are incommunicado.
Where did these Kenyan birth certificate copies come from? Well, I doubt the present Kenyan government that Obama was colluding unsuccessfully with his cousin Obingo (or whatever his damn name is) to overthrow … wouldn’t have too many qualms about releasing them to “concerned” parties!! If this BC exists, don’t be surprised if that is Obama’s final defence.- That the government of Kenya has produced a forgery.

So, as I understand, 0bama probably has a COLB from Hawaii due to his probable adaption by Lolo Sotoro per 0bama’s Indonesian school registration card. But there is another sealed COLB in Hawaii showing his real birth place to be Kenya. Right? And because Ann was not 19 at the time of Barry’s birth, according to Federal regulations at the time, NO way his he a natural born citizen. So at the most 0bama MAY be a naturalized citizen, corrct? What a frickin’ mess.

I was thinking there should be some records in Britian as well … since they made that provision of Kenyans being british subjects and therefore being able to obtain automatic british citizenship is they wanted. How clever to have no past. Now it all makes sense. There are so many unanswered questions…that I had to start a search what the heck was going on and looked up what the qualifications for running for President were because of all his shady past.
I knew that when you worked for the Government especially in sensitive positions you need a top secret security clearance. But when I found what is required to be the President of the US I almost feel over. This needs to be changed. That is outrageous.

I posted way back when that I thought Obama was born in Kenya and that is why his mother was in Mercer Island, Washington when Obama was three weeks old.
Los Angeles Int’l Airport was closed for massive remodeling in 1961 (or at least had cut way back on incoming and outgoing flights) and flights going to Hawaii would have come through Seattle instead of LAX. So it only made sense to me that Obama was born in Kenya and then his mother left to go back to Hawaii and stopped in Washington state on the way back. It didn’t make sense to me going the other way around.
The Hawaii birth certificate may be real because all his mother would have had to have done is claim that Barack was born at home and I think at that time you only needed an affidavit from somebody else to get a Hawaiian birth certificate. The thing that would have been different about a Hawaiian birth certificate is that it would have been noted as a “Late Filing” which means the BC wouldn’t have been filed by a Hawaiian hospital but by someone else sometime AFTER the birth. How would you explain a Hawaiian BC with “Late Filing” on it? People would then know he wasn’t born in a Hawaiian hospital because if he had been it wouldn’t be noted as a late filing.

This is my first time on this site. I just checked Factcheck.org (not that I trust this site to be accurate) and it indicated that they had seen and photographed a certified copy of Obama’s Hawaiian birth certicate. They include post of the pictures in the article. Is this legit? I just don’t want to be grasping at straws. Many of us are just hoping and praying that Obama is not eligible to be POTUS. And not because of race – because of his policies.

Why would Obama hide his place of birth unless he knew it would disqualify him?
I can think of reasons why each of the three suspected holders of the BC would not want to publicize it now.
1. Berg is saving it for a legal coup de grace.
2. The Clintons would prefer Obama lose fair and square (which in my opinion has a good chance of happening). Otherwise Hillary’s name would be mud among people who think of themselves as black people.
3. The Republicans would prefer to win fair and square (which as I said has a good chance of happening), since the alternative is Hillary who might be a stronger opponent than she normally would be should they release the certificate.
Only Berg is on strongest moral ground here. But if the BC exists, it will come out sooner or later, and I don’t think Obama will ever see the White House.

Politicians don’t have to show a birth certificate at anytime during the political process. So, yeah. Obama may/may not have been born in the US.
If the media paid any attention to the slightest modicum of fairness in covering the issues, such as the fact that Obama and Soros and other players created the financial crisis timing it to his benefit…McCain would handily win on the issues alone.

I can get birth certificates on family members easily if they were born over 75 years ago (Illinois). Also, the Obama certificate you see posted on the net is way different than the one issued at his birth. The one on line is a certificate. However, there are records of live births. You forget that the SCOTUS installed George W. Bush in a totally unheard of ruling. They still have a conservative majority, and one of them Clarence Thomas was disparaged by Obama himself. I think the chances are high that, given its constitutional nature, the SCOTUS will be predisposed to hear Berg’s lawsuit if it reaches that far up the Federal court system.

Paul, I may be one of the few, but I bought my first home in 2001, BEFORE the housing bubble, FIXED interest rate of 5.0%. There are definitely things about him I dislike and/or disagree with. I just have a lot fewer issues with him than I do with the McCain/Palin campaign.
If this turns out to be true, I’ll be right there with you in being outraged. I just have a problem with the people here taking this as gospel in the admitted absence of incontroverible proof (again, just talking about THIS point of his birthplace).

During the primaries I made the suggestion that in his world travels, Obama did some work for the CIA. Part of the deal to keep his background secret has to do with this.
As a result, Obama has the government over a barrel, so to speak. There may be some issue of national security that might be compromised if the truth of his background and CIA work were made known publically.
No one in the Establishment imagined Obama would get this far in Presidential politics. Hillary should be the Democratic nominee. How to handle the problem now, without causing national panic and further economic instability, is the great question facing the Insiders.
It is a big problem because as more comes to light about Obama’s true sympathies, including his favoring Shia Islam over Sunni (as indicated by his remarks on Iran and Pakistan) and the possibility that he could actually gain the Presidency, the radical change he offers could easily be perceived as a threat to our whole way of life.
I think the Establishment–those privy to the highest levels of classified information–just want Obama to lose to McCain without having to explain anything. This may put people like Philip Berg and Jerome Corsi in a difficult place–and blogs like this–as both the Establishment and Obama will do everything possible to keep his background information from the public view.

It is unlikely that Mr. Berg’s lawsuit will get anywhere because he likely lacks legal standing to bring a claim for violation of the U.S. Constitution.
Someone sued McCain trying to get him off the ballot because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone and was allegedly not a “natural born citizen” of the U.S. The federal court in that case threw the case out, in part, because a voter does not have recognized legal standing to assert that someone running from office is not legally qualified to run for the office.
I don’t see the federal court in Mr. Berg’s case ruling differently than the federal court in the other case against McCain.

Nothing seems to stick to Obama. Even if a Kenyan birth certificate is his only birth certificate, I suspect many people will just shrug their shoulders and say “so what?” Obama and the DNC will try to capitalize on this apathy by labelling the evidence as “smears”, “swiftboating” and of course, “racist”.
Remember how Bill Clinton was able to change the subject from “lying before a grand jury” to “it’s all about sex?” It succeeded because sex was easier for the masses to understand. Racism is easier for the masses to understand.
Therefore, for this birthplace issue to gain traction, the evidence must be irrefutable. When it goes to the Supreme Court, there may be as many as five Supreme Court justices who will bend over backwards to “interpret” the Constitution in Obama’s favor.
Regardless of what happens on the legal front, I don’t think Obama will drop out of the race. And if he somehow manages to still get elected, who will enforce the Constitution? Obama will be in charge of the executive branch. Will the democrats who control both houses of Congress consider “lying about being born in the USA” a high crime or misdemeanor? Obama can just say “Well…uhh…I was there but I was too young to remember.”
So if it does turn out that Obama was born in Kenya, I don’t think it’s going to be a deal breaker for many people. But hopefully on election day, there’ll be enough Americans who believe that no one is above the Constitution.

The Gordon Brown and Clinton meetings with a shaken Obama are interesting. It’s possible (and probable if the Kenyan birth was confirmed) that they read him the riot act. Bill may have told him to keep running and in the unlikely event he wins – after all that will be thrown at him on various fronts (and I’m sure Bill listed all of them for him (what we are seeing starting now)…if he actually does win, Obama will absolutely be confronted with the inelligibility issue and he will have to remove himself gracefully and immediately.
Whether Hillary can get anything more than being Biden’s v.p. or what on earth other possible legal scenarious develop after that are unknown to me. It’s possible Biden would be sworn in and then switch positions with his v.p. Hillary but that’s up to him, of course. Having in some way “won” on the ticket, he may actually have more legitamacy than her.
But I agree with our “Dean” above, that the insiders – the powers that be – know all about this problem … and also know how it will all be resolved depending on what happens on election day. Obama knows he’s just going to have to stand up there for the next three weeks and take it. For the good of the party (and because of what the party has on him!) he will try his best to win it for them. But secretly he probably is kind of hoping he loses to avoid the embarrassing aftermath.
But then again, in some funny way he may have become deluded enough by his strange success so far to think he can survive it all even after he wins it. Who knows? Maybe he has a plan to do that – or is secretly hoping the whole issue is so crazy no one will ever have the balls to challenge him on it – as he will win in a landslide and BE the Messiah – and the cowards will never stand up to bring him down.

If Berg wins the lawsuit and it is discovered that the Clintons knew about Obama’s lack of eligibility but encouraged him to continue to run anyway, then that would open them to charges of aiding and abetting, and Sen. Hillary Clinton may also become vulnerable to impeachment charges for failing to do her duty to report Obama to the Senate Ethics and Rules Committee.

To Shiloh, no, being married to an American does not automatically confer citizenship, the spouse still has to at least have a “green card.” Likewise, there are circumstances where having an American parent does not automatically confer citizenship. Laws have changed since 1961.

There is no record of any Barack Hussein Obama or anyone with the name Obama having being born in Mombasa or the Coast Province of Kenya at all.
Secondly, there is no way Barack could have been born in Coast General Hospital as this was a ‘Whites Only” hospital in 1961 all the way to 1963.
Now, if someone was foolish enough to be swindled into buying a fake birth certificate from Kenya (They are freely available) and did not bother to check with the Registrar of persons, they will soon be very embarrassed.

In fact he was at Harvard with no grants, loans or scholarships or job, paying for everything, while she was on food stamps. Michelle had loans, but never Barack.
Barack also lived in NYC and Chicago on trivial salaries, and managed to survive in decent surroundings all-expenses-paid.
Barack was “selected” I believe by age 7 or even 6 and put along this very path to infiltrate American politics. I would love to find out who his primary financier is…Odinga’s money came from the al Bakari family (al Qaeda) and we know that Barack’s tied up with him, and he got funding for Harvard via al Mansour who’s Wahabist-connected. Based on the weird essays Barack wrote while in Jakarta about being president and his weird “knowingness” of his future position, I think he’s been mentally sculpted along the way, which is why Davis then Ayers come in to play as mentors and funders.
“They” probably picked Barack because his mother was American, he was already programmed in Islam, and she was anti-American “those aren’t my people”. But I don’t think at the time they (Wahabists? al Qaeda?) realized (and if she was going to get some extra money I don’t think she disclosed) that he was born in Kenya. I get the feeling given Indonesian-born Maya has a Hawaiian COLB, that mom was fine with finagling documents when/where needed, and she might have out-conned the scoundrels insofar as Barack’s citizenship problems in order to keep him on his monied tenure track as The Manchurian Trojan Candidate. It’s starting to sound like an 18 year old impetuous anti-American rebellious teen runs off to Kenya gives birth and then beats feet back home after learning Barack Sr. is already married (tribal marriage) and has other children and his family does not like her at all. The 1970 or so visit by Barack, Sr. is interesting…why did he come back to Honolulu? The only reason for such an expensive trip would be that he needed to sign/be present for certain legalistics. This was around the age when Barack is to go to Punahau, stay with his grandparents, Ann is divorcing and she will soon leave back for Indonesia. Quite a nexus of events! Barack’s funders needed him Americanized now, he had to go to an American private school, otherwise since Ann was staying in Jakarta why wouldn’t he stay there too? She certainly could not afford Punahau. Someone external to their family was orchestrating Barack’s upbringing, and financial enticements may have precipitated the divorce between Lolo and Anne.
“Dad” would need to be there if he was signing away parental interests, given Lolo may have adopted Barack, Barack would look a lot more clean if they just generated entirely new paperwork at that time to disconnect from that past of Indonesian citizenship and Lolo’s adoption of Barack (and Kenyan birth). I think Ann kept backtracking somewhat to cover her life. Barack would need legal guardians for day-to-day issues, her own parents, and would need authorization for that. And since someone else was paying for his Punahau, how could she turn that down? I imagine someone guilted her into accepting the course of “the best education” for Barack. It must’ve been painful to leave a son though, I couldn’t. It left Barack vulnerable to outside manipulation and resentful of her. She must’ve had enticements to return to Indonesia instead of staying in Honolulu with Barack and Maya at that point. Maybe Lolo had joint custody of Maya, maybe she couldn’t get her out of Indonesia without his consent and so she stayed with the younger of her children assuming Barack was taken care of in Punahau living with her own parents and with that “trojan money” it might’ve helped them to live better too. And with Frank Marshall Davis the pervert communist as mentor for black anger and Marxism, Barack was being sculpted into an Americanized angry black stealth Muslim.
After Punahau and an unremarkable C GPA, he goes to Occidental, again without the cafeteria job, grants, loans, scholarships, yet everything is paid for. It is at this time that he travels to Pakistan with his roommate for 3 weeks on his Indonesian passport. Even if Barack had gotten a COLB by then, that’s insufficient to get an American passport. His only real birth certificate was Kenyan. He travels to Pakistan because now he needed the young-male Jihad training. Marxism, angry black Jihad-trained Americanized stealth Muslim: CHECK. Now what’s needed is an impressive Ivy League education that turns heads and more Jihad training and community agitator training.
After Occidental he’s with Ayers who helps him in ACORN jobs in NYC, and nobody remembers Barack at Columbia and he refuses to release his transcripts. So Ayers and “the funders” probably bought off a surrogate or bought Barack’s diploma, and it appears he traveled to Pakistan during this time. Barack wears a wedding ring during these years…perhaps to put off females because he is gay. Ayers carries the ball from Columbia onward, notable is that Barack joins TUCC before he even moves to Chicago. Chicago and its filthy political scene is the end-game for introducing the terror-protege into the American power structure. We know more about this era, and how Barack got one job and then immediately prepared for the next job.
I know this is too long, but I dream about how Barack came to be. He’s not bright enough and wily enough to have constructed his school and job lattice towards his current position, and as usual…follow the money.

I believe the reason Obama is not releasing his college records is because they most likely indicate that he was a foreign student — born in Kenya. Can’t we get access to these records somehow???? The really sad thing about this whole scenario is that no matter what happens, once this news gets out, it will really set back any other African American who is running for president for a long time. The contemporaneous birth announcement would be circumstantial evidence of a marriage that any judge would have to consider, if a marriage certificate couldn’t be located. Also, testimony of people who were told of the marriage, contemporaneously.
My guess (more properly hope) is that the judge is simply going to run out the clock on the discovery. He won’t rule on the dismissal until he see what turns up from the various agencies in Hawaii. That is, if they comply with discovery. But if they don’t, then what?
If I were the judge, for sure I wouldn’t dismiss the case. First, I’d be furious. Second, I’d be more likely to believe Berg is onto something, given that even Hawaii is stonewalling. Most important, would a judge want to dismiss such a case, only later to have it turn into a Constitutional crisis that he could have averted by letting it go forward? That mistake would be on HIS record, forever. It’s just his bad luck that this case fell into his lap. Now he has to do his job, regardless of the fallout to Obama.
About Jesse Jackson, I always thought that people were focusing on the wrong thing, when Jackson made that comment about cutting off Obama’s “private parts.” Everybody complained about his poor choice of words or whether or not it was shoddy of FOX news to disclose an off-camera comment in the first place. What struck me, however, was the simple fact that Jackson talks as if he is in a position to do such a thing to Obama. That is, he spoke as if he believes that he holds Obama on a tight leash. And maybe he does. Don’t forget Michelle’s connection to the Jackson family.
Im sure someone knows a person in the College Obama attended in Hawaii or new york who could get his records.
YOu could also look up his name in year books and see whom he went to school with, some of those people may know the truth about him, perhaps even his ex roommates, if he had any. I think you can also look up any theses he wrote in the libraries.
I’ve seen the question more than once about what happens if Obama is disqualified from being POTUS after he wins the election. What happens is spelled out in the 20th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. On Jan. 20th 2009, Biden would be sworn in as ACTING [Temporary] president. It would be up to congress to pick a qualified candidate to be president. Since it’s a Democratically controlled congress, it’s a safe bet they would select a Democrat to be the next President.

With all of the “less than positive” Obama youtube videos disappearing, NBC yanking then editing the SNL skit showing the Congressional hairballs involved in the financial mess, Obama’s campaign sending out emails to supporters to bombard radio stations that have right wing speakers on their shows, “truth squads” in Missouri and letters to the Justice Department complaining about NRA ads in Pennsylvania nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to Obama attempting to silence his detractors.
Jerome Corsi was detained in Kenya while doing follow-up work on his book, THE OBAMA NATION. He came back with some documents showing correspondence and e-mails between the senator’s office and that of Odinga’s. Corsi is scheduled to be interviewed on Hannity & Colmes tomorrow–Monday evening, October 13th–according to the blog citizenwells. Apparently he will show the documents he found there and was able to take out of the country.
As to this whole issue, can it be more obvious that a simple matter of providing a valid birth certificate–not an internet fake–would put this issue to rest? Also, that some kind of “blackmail” is being performed, or the powers that be would have required the proof of his citizenship? It would seem that government security itself has to be involved in this. This includes high level people, the Clintons, Senator McCain, and President Bush, etc.
There must be an issue of national security that Obama is holding over the government’s head. What could it be? What would allow Obama to escape scrutiny and advance this far? Even the Clintons have stepped aside and are now pretending to campaign for him.
I have some ideas. Anyone else?
Jennifer, It is sad, but we can just hope for our judgement and intuition to guide us all well. These parts of human beings have kept us all alive through mankind. Our gut instincts hopefully will continue to function well,and are the reason we felt like we did through all of this b.s. Shiloh and Bemused, as one who works with immigrants applying for either green cards or citizenship on an almost daily basis, I am certain that marriage to an American citizen does NOT confer automatic status of citizenship. The citizen spouse files a petition for a specific visa to bring the fiance or spouse to this country in the first place. Then, a period of 3 years must pass before any adjustments of status can be made. During that time, irrevocable proof must be available to demonstrate a bona fide marital relationship. This is to avoid those mail order spouse attempts to get someone in the country without all the scrutiny. There are plenty of these marriages where the spouses wait for a long time before they can ever be approved to obtain a visa to travel to this country. Nothing automatic about it.

I queried it at the time to the blogger, and asked if perhaps it was his father’s registration, (Obama Sr went to Harvard much earlier), but there was no response. I don’t much like the Clintons, either. But surely you can’t have missed that Palin has been doing almost nothing but slamming Obama and the Dems. It’s the exact same thing.
Regarding FactCheck.org: keep in mind this organization is run by the Annenberg Foundation, the same organization which Obama chaired with ‘pal’ Ayers in the early 90’s. They are nothing but Obama supporters, so you can’t rely on their impartiality.
I doubt Obama has any issue of national security he’s holding over anyone. I think it’s an October surprise and the Clintons are playing along as well as they can to maintain their party status for 2012.
I do hope the judge in Berg’s case has a sense of decency and patriotism and will allow the case to finish to its natural conclusion. If Berg has evidence, we’ll have to wait and see. If Jerome Corsi has evidense, we’ll have to wait and see.
I think it would more disastrous for this to be discovered after the election. Either way, I can hear the cries of “racism” if this turns out to be true.

Clara, I know that you are right because I live in a place where families are often separated by paperwork (the sadder problem being children who were brought as infants and grow up to discover they are aliens). But I’m wondering how this persistent idea ever got started. Maybe it was true many years ago that marrying an American conferred citizenship? I think it’s the same way for other countries too, so I wonder about Ann’s marriage, either in the US or Kenya.

I heard Hannity’s show when Corsi called in. He said he was due to have a 10am press conference in Kenya to release some documents. Some said to promote his book but that is absurb. Why would Kenyan’s care about his book. Releasing documents makes much more sense. He told Sean that he had some emails directly linking Obama to Odinga about consulting on campaign stategy and such.
Corsi mentioned he had other important documents he had obtained as well. Sean asked him why they weren’t confiscated and he said he had not gone back to his hotel room yet when they detained him about 30 minutes before his press conference. He his lawyer (they assigned) gathered his items in his hotel room to bring to him to take when he was deported. Corsi said he was lucky they didn’t bother to look thru his briefcase (which was locked).
Therefore, he told Sean that all importants documents came home with him. Sean seemed excited and immediately told Corsi he would be on his show Monday night. Corsi agreed.
My question is this – A statement from a Kenyan official said that Corsi was a friend of Kenya and had not been arrested. He was detained for technical reasons. I know the current leader is Pro-American and has cooperated with Corsi. I am wondering if the current leader provided the certified birth cert. in secret. Odinga’s group might have heard the rumor but not know who provided it. They might have asked Kebaki to deport Corsi before he could get the documents and have his press conference. They might have threatened another riot. I am sure that Kenya does not want another riot.
Is it possible that the current govt. provided Corsi the BC information secretly and made sure he was aloud to keep it when he left?
If they thought Corsi was only doing a book promo they might not have cared about his press Conf. but if they realized he was going to do something else in the press, they would have cared. I have often wondered why a young mother would even consider traveling with a newborn over a long distance in 1961. You mentioned diaper changing. I think it would be a monumental task considering that pampers and such had not been on the market yet. The number of clean diapers and the storage of the soiled ones must not have been easy. I would think that the travel was out of necessity.
I am too young to have any experience. Has anyone here experienced travel with a newborn in the 1961 era?

Try telling that to a US immigration judge, the USCIS and to the people either refused entry to the US or deported from the US because they had the same misconception as you do.
I’ve been thinking about the delay in discovery from Berg’s lawsuit. Didn’t Barry, with the help of Claire McCaskill, draft some kind of bill that addresses the issue of eligibility of running for the presidential office? Did it pass? Do you think that perhaps the DNC and Barry Soetoro are hoping to win the election and then letting the courts interpret the constitutional law based on this bill? At that point, they are hoping that with a win already secured, Americans and our court would be too scared of the repercussions for our country that they would side with the “people’s” decision and allow him to be president? Why delay something when it can settle everything once and for all with a simple document? I’m still baffled about that one. What could the rational strategy be other than move past this first hurdle of getting elected first.
About two weeks ago I saw a comment on the DrudgeReport. It was a comment that did not have a link attached. Like something really quick he put up from something he heard. I never again saw him reference it. I also searched the Drudge site but found nothing. If his mother were a citizen — which she apparently was not because of her age according to the law of the time — he would be a citizen, but he would not be “natural born” because he had other citizenship. If he was totally unconscious when he had it, it doesn’t matter. If he was a baby when he had it, it doesn’t matter. It’s having more than one citizenship, period. Assuming that she did actually qualify but if not, he is not an American at all no matter where she came from.

About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000.
The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.
By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.
The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.

John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American Naval base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936. Numerous legal scholars have looked into the purpose and intent of the “natural born Citizen” requirement. As far as I am aware, no one has unearthed any reason to think that the Framers would have wanted to limit the rights of children born to military families stationed abroad or that such a limited view would serve any noble purpose enshrined in our founding document. Based on the understanding of the pertinent sources of constitutional meaning, it is widely believed that if someone is born to American citizens anywhere in the world they are natural born citizens.
It is interesting to note that another previous presidential candidate, George Romney, was also born outside of the United States. He was widely understood to be eligible to be President. Senator Barry Goldwater was born in a U.S. territory that later became the State of Arizona so some even questioned his eligibility. Certainly the millions of Americans who voted for these two Republican candidates believed that they were eligible to assume the office of the President. The same is true today.
Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen. I recently asked Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, a former Federal judge, if he had any doubts in his mind. He did not.
I expect that this will be a unanimous resolution of the Senate and I thank the Senator from Missouri for working with me on this.

Here is another idea to force Mr. Dunham, or Soetoro, or Obama to address the fraudulent CoLB. Assemble a group of yourselves to attend his rally. Chant all of his assumed names and ask him which one he is. If there was a Vault form of his birth certificate in Hawaii, it would have been produced long ago. His mother may have flown him in as fast as she could from Kenya, but that didn’t make him natural born. It is not possible to change a certificate to say that a person is born in a specific hospital, time, and place if they never were. I read where his half sister has 2 birthdates also (so it seems his mother was attempting to garner citizenship or future benefits) for her kids.
His obvious references to “driving by the hospital he was born in” and finding his “green birth certificate in a shoe box in the attic” in his books make a great deal of sense now. He carefully slid these details in like the marriage certificate, that he is unsure exists and his wife stating that “Barack’s mom was very young and very,very single” Yet oddly, his mother files for divorce proceedings that drag on for years. He had already researched the fact that he may gain citizenship if his mother was single and out of the country at the time of his birth. These are all ploys and plants to create a past that didn’t exist and try and establish his eligibility. The image and persona that he has written about himself continues to unravel. More and more people begin to contradict his recollections through diligent research here and throughout a broad number of sites.
The last school records that he provides list his name as Barry Soetoro. When did he become Barack Obama? Was he ‘Barack of Kenya’ when he enrolled at Occidental College? Or did he become that person for entry at Columbia or Harvard?
Why does no one of his class of 400 at Columbia recall this guy? This is the most secretive and unverifiable person that has ever held the position of US Senator and now he has the audacity to stand a heart beat away from the presidency.
After hours of research, he has gone from being an unknown to a ‘wolf in sheeps’ clothing. Any other Senator (pick one: D or R, male, female, any race) would be a safer deal than this guy. His strong arm cheating tactics kept Hillary’s voters locked out of caucuses in several states. He deliberately cheated and undermined the electoral practice. I don’t care how he is beat in this race. The best way is to campaign & vote against him. If he has been found to have committed this fraud, then he needs to resign and pack his belongings. Then a real American could run for his Senate position in Illinois. Right now he is taking up space, as an oxygen thief, and wasting our time & money.

Even if Obama’s parents married “legally” wouldn’t the fact that Obama’s father was legally married to another women in Kenya annul the Legal part of Stanley and Barack’s marriage.
So if born in Kenya–the parents weren’t legally married.

I think I am reading in some of these posts that, EVEn if Obama were born in Kenya, “so what”, because he woudl still be a natural born citizen due to his mother being a citizen.
First of all, that remains to be contested, due to his mother’s age, and I still think he would not be considered natural born.
But, most importantly, even if he were deemed “natural born”, the bigger issue is this: Obama has LIED to the American public all this time. He has led us to believe that he was born in America , born in Hawaii. This is a dishonest man who will do anything to advance his career and gain power. for that reason, alone, makes him unfit to be president. Of course, there are many other reasons, but his supporters are so enamored with him, that it will take more than a policy issue to get them de-hypnotized….his supporters need to know that their messiah has been a fraud all this time. IF…and that’s a really big “if”…if this story is true and it breaks just before the election, Obama can stall. He wins the election with a narrow popular vote but carries VA, PA, MI, FL, OH so therefore a pretty big Electoral college win.

Carolyn #267: Hawaii had been US territory for quite a while. You don’t have to be born within the boundaries of a state, just in US territory. This is why McCain would have been natural-born anyway, as the Canal Zone was at the time US territory.

The only way Obama’s records could be so completely hidden is with coordinated government assistance. Why would the government do this?
There are indications from various sources that can be found on the Net that Obama at one time may have worked for the CIA. One of the companies he worked for in New York has been identified as a CIA front organization (now taken over by the British.)
Assuming this may be true, what kind of deal did Obama make back in the 1980s with the government to do whatever it was they wanted him to do? He went to Pakistan when the war was going on between the Soviets and Afghanistan. Pakistan was our funnel for arms to the Afghans.
Perhaps it was then that he expressed his interest in politics. He simply said, “I’ll do this if you keep my personal records out of sight, and though I was born in Kenya, never question my citizenship.”
The government agreed, never imagining he would go this far in politics. So they are over a barrel. Those with the highest clearances have been briefed. They know that at one time Obama did a patriotic act for the country. The rest of us are not privy to this. It cannot be made public. The deal was that his records, to include his birth certificate and circumstances concerning his birth would remain out of sight. So the government itself, at that time, made a promise and a deal with Obama, never suspecting that it would ever come to compromising the Constitution.
They never suspected either that his politics would develop so far to the left. (The fact that he might also be a crypto-Shiite Muslim is too difficult to even contemplate for these folks.)
I’m only sketching something in rough outline. The details are probably quite complicated. But consider the fact that the fellow who provided the template for the false birth certificate online was a documents expert trained by Homeland Security.

Carolyn, my guess is that when Hawaii was granted statehood, that all those people living there were offered US citizenship.
I have about decided the media knows the truth and will not make an issue of it until he is elected. That seems to be the methods these days.
I do not understand why the courts have not expedited this issue. I further do not understand why he has not provided all relevant documentation to clear up the issue.

There is something wrong with the “Certification of Live Birth” that Obama gave to factcheck.org. Read the actual words carefully. In all my years reading Hawaii legal documents, I have never seen under the county heading the word “Honolulu” Up at the top, the same thing. The entity comprising the island of Oahu has always been referred to as The City and County of Honolulu. Never have I ever seen it referred to as just “Honolulu” or Honolulu County. I am not sure that “Honolulu County” ever existed. It was the county of Oahu between 1905-07 and since 1907, the City and County of Honolulu, but never Honolulu County. That document may indeed be faked.

I’m just sitting here listening to CNN talk about how Obama is running for president on a note from his doctor vs releasing his complete medical records. It just occured to me that his records would include that previous history form everyone fills out when they first go to a new doctor. Anyone remember filling those out? And what about that blank that says “Place of Birth”, Mr. Obama. Did your doctor feel it wasn’t ethical to let you “doctor” that up to say “Hawaii” when it currently says “Kenya”?

Like Obama, I can produce one of those birth certificates from the department of records in the state in which I was born attesting to my birth there. That location is listed under the heading “place of birth” on my passport. Meanwhile, no one has ever disputed my natural born US citizenship. Why? Because such a claim is completely ridiculous.

About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000.
The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.
By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.
The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.

Obama’s parents met while both were attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was enrolled as a foreign student. They separated when he was two years old and later divorced. His father received a Masters degree in Economics from Harvard University, then returned to Kenya, where he became a finance minister before dying in an automobile accident in 1982
His father went alone to Kenya . Obama lived in Indonesia with his family in 1967.
Obama attended local schools in Jakarta, from ages 6 to 10, where classes were taught in the Indonesian language. He first attended St. Francis Assisi Catholic school for almost three years, where he received weekly lessons in that Christian faith

After reading this entire thing, and links, and video, it really does appear that an official inquiry is needed to sort this out before the election. His mother was not a citizen due to her age — since she was born in a territory and not a state, and being underage herself, she needed another three years to be legally considered a US citizen — so she had no US citizenship to automatically bestow upon her progeny regardless of where she delivered her baby.
Her baby would have been considered a US citizen, though, if it had been born in the US. For proof of that, we need a US birth certificate, so where’s it at??? We can assume he was born in Kenya because the simplest explaination is the most likely — he isn’t providing the press with a US birth certificate because none exists.
And then there’s the question whether his mother’s marriage to his father was legal, which would have automatically invalidated Obama’s claim to US citizenship since Kenya doesn’t allow dual citizenship. (That’s my understanding of that particular problem, somebody correct me if I’m wrong.)
His birth in Kenya is also likely since he has traveled overseas on apparently non-US passports. And then all the other wierdness delineated in this thread. Seriously, there are far too many questions regarding his qualifications for a reasonable person to remain unconcerned. It’s time the mainstream media gets involved — what kind of crap journalists are we dealing with here, that internet bloggers can do a better job with far less resources at their disposal???

In an interview on the BBC’s Hardtalk, Raila Odinga said, “the father … the catholic father who is in charge has given an explanation and the explanation is that these people who were attacking people from another community were being chased and when they were being chased they went to take refuge in a church and the pursuers then pursued them to the church … they did not know that in the church were children which were being kept there as refugees so in the process of cause they set the church on fire…”
