Dual Citizenship Makes Obama Ineligible Under Article II

So, at long last, Senator Obama admits that he was born with Dual Citizenship:

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”
Now nice Anti-Pumas, please admit that the Senator has been selling snake oil and you have been buying it. I said he was probably born with Dual Citizenship under the 1948 Act at the outset, and I wasn’t wrong. Likewise, I wasn’t wrong about the Kenyan Constitution and his Kenyan Citizenship. Don’t take any bets that I’m wrong about Indonesia. Or the US Constitution and what it means.
Please note that I, once again, state that I, personally, believe Obama was born in Hawaii and that it doesn’t affect my opinion on his Eligibility for the Office of POTUS at all. In my understanding Article II Requires that one be a “Natural Born Citizen”, and in terms of the Law as understood by the Framers, anyone with Dual Citizenship could not be “Natural Born”. It does not matter that they no longer hold that Citizenship, they fall into the same bracket as a “Naturalized Citizen” because they have/had Divided Allegiance. That is my view and I haven’t moved an inch on it.
However, the Kenyan Citizenship Issue may not be the main point here, WAS HE, OR WAS HE NOT, an INDONESIAN CITIZEN? The Senator isn’t saying, isn’t mentioning it, is trying to avoid producing any Paperwork at all. Why? If he is/was an Indonesian Citizen, too, the Senator’s entire narrative is a fiction and he should be ashamed of himself.
He’s lied about Kenya, at least by omission, for months/years, so why should I assume he isn’t lying about Indonesia? Note Kenyan Citizenship automatically lapses if it isn’t renewed at age 21, Indonesian Citizenship doesn’t. If he was an Indonesian Citizen he would have to actively repudiate that Citizenship. Did he? Has he? Because if he hasn’t, Senator Obama is Dual National Indonesian at this moment, subject to the Laws of BOTH Countries, equally.
That is true under US Law, Indonesian Law and International Law and until LAST YEAR Indonesia DID NOT Recognize Dual Citizenship and the USA did not Recognize that one could be a Dual US/Indonesian Citizen. It does not matter that the Senator was not Responsible for the change of Citizenship because he was a child when it happened. Governor Schwarzenegger was not Responsible for the fact that he was born in Austria, or that under Austrian Law he is not a US Citizen, or under the US Law and Rules he is not a Citizen of Austria.
Senator Obama needs to produce his Paperwork, all of it, not just a Certification of Live Birth from the State of Hawaii, but all his other Paperwork too.
So, the Senator WAS a Dual National. That is now an admitted fact, admitted by his own Campaign and by Annenberg. The Senator is a Constitutional Lawyer which means that he knows, and has always known, that he is probably Ineligible to Hold the Office of POTUS, or that, at the very least, there is a strong Legal Argument that that is the case. In turn, that means that as he lied about his Kenyan and British Citizenships he is probably lying about his Indonesian Citizenship.
I do not suppose that it was ever his intention to give up his US Citizenship and it does not matter to me one bit. It doesn’t matter to Indonesia either. If Lolo Soetoro adopted him he ceased to be a US Citizen in the mid 1960s, BY INDONESIAN LAW. He also ceased to be a Kenyan Citizen, BY INDONESIAN LAW. By Kenyan and US Law he retained his Original Citizenships, until his 21st Birthday. By Indonesian Law he could have given up Indonesian Citizenship at age 18, but did he? If he didn’t he was, albeit accidentally, displaying a Legal Intention to void his US Citizenship, since he knew he could not Legally hold both Citizenships.
Please don’t tell me that the US doesn’t have to concern itself with the Laws of Indonesia because, in this case, the US does have to do so. By the way, under US Law of another time the Senator would not have been a US Citizen at all, and he knows that.
If a Naturalized Citizen cannot hold the Office of POTUS because they previously held another Citizenship it is egregious, so far as I am concerned, that a Dual Citizen/Former Dual Citizen should claim to have a Legal Right to do so. I refer the reader to my Articles on Dual Citizenship and ask you to read the quotes from Blackstone. [TD NOTE: I will be re-posting all of Judah's work shortly].
This new material at “Fight the Smears” displays arrogance, hubris and bad faith, in my opinion. It is the Senator’s reaction to Phillip Berg’s Law Suit, and, basically, it amounts to an open admission of mens rea. He is flaunting his bad faith and in so doing destroys his own case.

Is this some new admission? I seem to have read this elsewhere, but is this in response to the Berg filing?

When did he go to Pakistan – what year? Was that on an Indonesian Passport as has been reported? I read elsewhere also that he went to Pakistan to visit his Mother who was working in banking there at the time and a Pakistani friend whom he went shooting with…???

Allegiance to one country is paramount. Dual and multiple citizenship is an automatic allegiance to all and none. It’s like trying to explain Patriotism. Not easy to explain but it’s a feeling one has about one’s country. One can’t be loyal to more than one country. I don’t think Obama is smart enough to know that that he is ineligble to run for office. He never produced and ID when he ran for the state Senate. He just plain sucks as a leader or Presidential candidate.

Not only did he have to repudiate it, he had to do it by age 21. He still travelled to Pakistan on an Indonesian passport at age 20. Neither he nor any of his ‘Bots has ever given a hint of a clue about where and when he might have done this, much less documented it.
Considering the Indonesian passport, and lack of Oath of Allegiance ceremony, I think not only is Ruh-Roh not a natural-born citizen, he may actually be an undocumented illegal alien!
Perhaps he can apply for amnesty — after being elected (!?!?!?)
Okay – so now here’s a question:
Does this explain why he went to Kenya to campaign for his uncle/cousin/whatever? and interfere in that nation’s elections?
Doesn’t THIS (admission of Kenya dual citizenship) open THAT can of worms?
Does his interference into Kenya’s elections in 2005 (?) constitute what Judah Benjamin has been stating? That it is not only the fact he had Dual Citizenship – it is the fact that he had Dual Loyalties? (and may still).
While I agree with Judah that Indonesia is the far more compelling argument – there is also a good argument to be made regarding dual loyalty to Kenya merely by the fact that Obama openly campaigned (and interfered) in their Presidential elections recently, he has family there AND – perhaps the most compelling – is the TUCC church’s reference to claiming loyalty first and foremost to Africa…..

Berg’s website, http://www.obamacrimes.com, is stating they are not going to give up on this even though Soetoro-Obama and the DNC filed to dismiss Berg’s lawsuit. We Americans have the right to know who we are voting for—let’s start demanding this from the press.

The MSM will never report any of this because they are so heavily invested in the Obama “narrative.” Unfortunately, it just isn’t that. Just as with the universities that are making sure that universities that are making sure students graduate indoctrinated instead of given the intellectual tools to critically think, the leftist radicals have taken refuge in the media, too: the long march through the institutions. They have been undermining this country’s most important institutions. Look into the Fairness Doctrine and you will find see what is to come: moderated discourse so constrained that it isn’t meaningful. As one of my mentors put it regarding the migration of intellectuals to the U. of Chicago (sardonic) in the 40s, here come the one worlders. Voting AGAINST Obama is a vote FOR the American dream. Ironic that Obama is a product of that it.

If I were a famous tv or radio person interviewing Obama during this
campaign season, two of my early questions would be the following:
1. “Obama, how old are you? Is there some way you could prove it? Do you have some legal, valid documents that prove how old you are?”
2. “Obama, could you tell us about your trip to Pakistan in your early 20s? Did you use a United
States passport? Why did you go to Pakistan at that time? Could you give us some details about
what you did in Pakistan at that time?
For instance, did you go to Pakistan alone, or did you go with one or
more other persons? If you went with

3. Note: Obama has had many tv and radio interviews these past few weeks, but I’m amazed
that none of the interviewers seem to put pressure on

In fact, it seems that many of these interviewers don’t
bring up Obama’s Pakistan trip at all.
I think it is getting close to the time for a press conference regarding all of this!
It seems suspicious that, at a time when the campaign should be busy with winning this election, they still went to a lot of time, trouble, and expense to FIGHT the Berg Lawsuit on the grounds that Berg didn’t have legal standing.
The PDF file of Obama and the DNC’s request for Dismissal took a heck of a lot more time than just to hand over the proper and legal birth certificate! Why would they do that, unless Obama cannot prove his legitimacy to run for Pres?

Who believes the supreme court would ever hear such a case let alone decide that having held another citizenship as a child is akin to being born in another country and naturalized as a us citizen? If Obama is declared ineligible (let’s say in late October – it is in the US courts, after all), and McCain appears to be on a collision course with the economy this AM (pundits saying he’ll be blamed if Wall St, crashes today as expected), does this open the door for Bush to declare martial law and remain in office as dictator instead of President?

Ok, Obama now says that his daul citizenship is based on his father.
That still doesn’t clear up the fact that his senator’s grandmother, brother and sister, who live in Kenya, believe they were present during Obama’s birth.
Were they in Hawaii and if so, where are the travel documents.
This also explains WHY Obama interjected himself into Kenyan politics with Odinga. Supporting the country he’s from.

I understand that Obama might (might = not for sure) not have registered for the US draft at the age of 18.
-Might he not done that because he knew he was also an Indonesian citizen (as a way of avoiding the US draft)?
-If yes, then that is an intention act in order to continue his Indonesian citizenship so anything he shows indicating he gave that up at the age of 18 would be moot.

is there some way we can get this information to Judge Surrick? This certainly should be considered in the lawsuit.
What worries me is the fact that Obama is still as arrogant as ever, or more so. It’s as though he knows something that we don’t.
Also, if the debate should go on, the McCain campaign should have this information. This debate is supposed to be on foreign policy. The moderators should also have this information. I can’t think of a better place to ask him to explain himself and his dual identities.

That’s what you need to “prove” that he never intended to give those up and/or he played our system (traveling to Pakistan when Americans couldn’t/avoiding the draft) with these dual citizenships.

I agree with Citizen Wells. Obama is planting plausible denials in his media, including Fact Check. Obama is giving fighting orders to his troops, he is anticipating an attack on this point. There might be one, nobody knows, but Obama is getting ready.

Obama is just stalling until he is elected. He believes that by staying under the radar, he will be to powerful to be challanged after he is president. America has been duped by a militant Muslim using the Taqiyya to his maximum benefit. Solving the current financial crisis is not important to him, the only thing important in his mind is the debate, and getting his Muslim mug on TV to spread more lies, smears, and possibly throw out the race card if given the opportunity. Obama is counting on his perception that the American people are stupid to get him elected.

jcm: I was just ready to ask Judah the same question about Obama’s British citizenship. Was that renounced, too? Did it need to be renounced, too? Did he (or does he) in fact have triple citizenship? Quadruple citizenship?
Jim: I also picked up on that admission by the Obamas that they don’t give their daughters CHRISTMAS gifts. If they truly are Christian and went (?) to a (nominal) “Christian” church (TUCC), then how do they possibly explain to their kids that they aren’t going to get Christmas gifts, when probably the vast majority of kids that they know DO get Christmas gifts? Many people I know of the Jewish faith give Christmas gifts to their kids, when obviously they don’t “celebrate” Christmas. It’s awfully hard to say no to kids, unless it’s really, really important to avoid ANY appearance of seeming to be “Christian”.

In addition, I remember being struck by Obama’s odd overreaction to the interview that he allowed with his daughters. I wondered why, very soon afterward, he declared vehemently that he would never again let them be interviewed.
Remember how the younger girl innocently launched into a discussion about how Obama wouldn’t eat ice cream? She went on to say that “everybody should like ice cream.” But her dad doesn’t eat it.
Via Google, I learned that many Muslims do not eat ice cream because it may contain pork byproducts. Just sayin’.
IF he’s been lying (or obfuscating, if you will) about his dual citizenship, then what else is he lying about?

Why did they put it out NOW?
If they’re NOT in the tank for Obama, as they claim they’re not, then why does this suddenly appear NOW?
Where did they get this information? I’d love to know what sort of back and forth went on between FactCheck and the Obama people. Do you think they posted this without prior vetting by Obama? I don’t believe so, no matter what they will say.
We already know that they have an “in” with the Obama campaign, based upon their own crowing about how they visited the COLB at his headquarters. How did they pull that off, considering how many others have been begging for a look at that document?
Here’s my speculation: They know (or suspect) that, as reported, the Republicans (and/or the Clintons) HAVE a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate. They know it’s just a matter of time until it shows up in the MSM or in an ad. Maybe it’s being saved for an October surprise.
So, via FactCheck, they’re beginning the push back, starting to introduce the idea to the public, to spin it, to diminish the importance of it, to make it look like just a quirky little technicality that nobody in his right mind would think important.
They’re priming the MSM pump with the story that they want out there, to explain it all away to the naive masses.
If it’s packaged correctly in an ad, it will be devastating.
I can only hope that somebody also has audio or video from his campaign appearances in Kenya for his cousin.
Obama knows this is ultimately going to come out; he has placed it here at a time when the world is enormously distracted by the Wall Street crisis in hopes that no one will pay any attention to it. I pray that’s wrong.

TD, just wondering if you have ever thought of writing to the Indonesian Embassy to ask about that AP photo of his school registration where it states he was an Indonesian Citizen and a Muslim. We all know that Indonesia was/is a police state where every foreigner living there needs to carry IDs. So, if Obama says that he doesn’t have Indonesian citizenship, either he’s lying or his step-father did some serious palm greasing to have the school agree to state the two aforementioned facts above. I’m sure the embassy can verify that for registering of any kind, proper identification (especially for citizenship) needs to be presented.

Shiloh: He may have been naturalized in 1970-1971, when his father turned up for the first time since he was an infant. Why then?
There may be naturalization papers in Hawaii that he’s hiding, because he was adopted by Soetoro and became an Indonesian citizen. Perhaps when he was sent back to Hawaii, there was a problem with him staying, so he had to be naturalized to “restart” his US citizenship.
What’s interesting about the FactCheck COLB “debunking” is that they focus upon citizenship, and not dual citizenship or natural born citizenship. Just that he’s NOW a citizen, which nobody is disputing. They focus on the fact that the COLB they saw meets all State Dept. requirements to get a passport. Why that focus, instead of upon the requirements, as stipulated in the Constitution, to qualify as POTUS?
I also think that he may have actually been born in Kenya. It depends upon what that Kenyan BC says. Would it not say Honolulu? Wasn’t it just to document him as a Kenyan citizen because of his father’s citizenship? If he were really born in Hawaii, wouldn’t the birthplace say so, just as McCain’s says Panama, even though he’s a US citizen?
If it says birthplace = Mombassa, or wherever in Kenya, then is this an attempt to prime the MSM to call this a “mistake,” too? Just like the citizenship and religion on the school registration were written off as “mistakes?”

So where’s the birth certificate from Hawaii? Even though only the person can get a copy of his/her certificate, it may be public information who has actually obtained a certificate from the Hawaii Dept. of Health. Has anyone asked the Hawaii Dept. of Health if they ever issued a certificate to Obama or anyone from the Obama campaign. They can’t show you the cert., but it should be public record if they paid the $X to get a copy of the cert.
If there’s no record of having paid the fee to Hawaii Dept. of Health for the certificate, then there’s no certificate. Case closed.

I have searched for weeks to substantiate the claim that Pakistan was ‘off limits’ for Americans or non-Muslims in 1981, including the US State Department site. I find absolutely nothing to back this up. The claim was made by one commenter who placed identical postings on many, many blogs, and others have simply assumed it true.
In fact, in June 1981, the New York Times published a travel article with advice about traveling to Pakistan. A couple of excerpts:

Have some news for you about what FactCheck and Fight the Smear posted. They did not tell the whole truth.
Ok as we from the Kenyan Constitution,
Chapter VI, Section 87, Persons who became citizens on 12th December, 1963, Sub-Section (2) states,
“Every person who, having been born outside Kenya, is on 11th December, 1963 a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or a British protected person shall, if his father becomes, or would but for his death have become, a citizen of Kenya by virtue of subsection (1), become a citizen of Kenya on 12th December, 1963.”
Now Obama and FactCheck would want us to beleive that Obama never activated his Kenyan citizenship as proscribed below and it simply lapes.
Chapter VI, Section 97, Dual citizenship, Sub-Section (2) states,
” A person who -
(a) has attained the age of twenty-one years before 12th December, 1963; and
(b) becomes a citizen of Kenya on that day by virtue of section 87; and (c) is immediately after that day also a citizen of some country other than Kenya, shall subject to subsection (7), cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date unless he has renounced his citizenship of that other country, taken the oath of allegiance and, in the case of a person who is a citizen of Kenya by virtue of section 87 (2), made and registered such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament.
However, Obama JR did not have to activate this citizenship, this activation could have been made .
Article VI, Section 92. Persons eligible to be registered as Kenya citizens, Subsection (2) states,
“A person shall be eligible, upon making application in such manner as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament, to be registered as a citizen of Kenya if, at the date of his application, one of his parents is a citizen of Kenya, and the Minister may cause any such person who so applies to be so registered: Provided that a person who has not attained the age of twenty-one years (other than a woman who is or has been married) may not himself make an application under this subsection, but an application may be made on his behalf by his parent or guardian.”
As you can see by the underline sentence, Obama Jr. could not activate his Kenyan citizenship before he was 21, but his father, Obama Sr. could easily have done on his behalf, under Section 92, completely by passing and eliminating Section 97. This is probably what happened, and his Kenyan citizenship papers were given to him when he met in the Honolulu Airport in 1971. What man travels halfway around the world to meet his estranged child and does not have a present to give his child. Well I do not see a baseball bat or a giant Teddy Bear in neither ones arms. But an envelope with the citizenship document could easily have been tucked in his jacket pocket.
Now that he has active Kenyan citizenship, either it must be removed from him under Article VI, Section 94, Deprivation of citizenship but the causes enumerated Section 94 do not deal with loss due to Dual Citizenship, or he must have formally renounced his Kenyan Citizenship.
So, what FactCheck posted was only one of two truths, let see them explain Section 92, or the missing Teddy Bear.

I agree with Berg too. I think Obama was born in Kenya and he can not produce a Hawaii birth certificate because it will show up as filed late; maybe several weeks after his birth.
That would explain why his mother was in Mercer Island, Washington when Obama was three weeks old. If Obama was born in Kenya and his mother was on her way back to Hawaii, she would have come back through Seattle or Los Angeles. She wouldn’t have come through Los Angeles International Airport because it was closed in 1961 due to the huge remodeling they were doing at the time (I read this from another poster who said she was diverted to Seattle instead of L.A. in 1961). So it would make sense that Obama’s mother was traveling back to Hawaii, wouldn’t it?

I’m confused and would appreciate if someone could explain. My passport is only good for 10 years. If BO travelled to Pakistan at age 20, he would’ve had to get his passport either in Hawaii or on the mainland. Which would make it a US passport. Right? So…. how could he get a US passport without valid proof? Or is an Indonesian passport good for a longer period? But the story is a bit confusing. The reporter may have misrepresented that these Democrats, who happen to be prosecutors, are simply supporting Obama. That’s known.

To go to Pakistan in 1981, IF he had an Indonesian passport, that would have been the one to use, especially if it listed him as Muslim. He probably could not have gone in on a US passport, but since there were high-level people that he traveled with and/or visited there, they may have pulled strings and gotten him in.

Even for someone just now learning about Certifigate, can grasp the significance of the fact that it has been three and one-half long months since the American public (not all, but only those who navigated through the Internet to one of three websites), has seen what is a one-of-a-kind image, to be found on this planet or any other, that is also the single, solitary, front-sided only, reproduction of what Obama, via his campaign, continues to allege, is a true, unaltered, and fully accurate image copy of Obama’s “original” and “genuine”, “Certification of Live Birth” — a computer printout that is a highly abridged version of Obama’s complete birth record on file in Hawaii, that allegedly was printed, and duly certified, by Hawaii’s Office of Vital Statistics on June 6, 2007.
That even 15 months later, after this “short-form transcript ” was allegedly produced, Obama has steadfastly refused to release his full and complete birth records, whether original or subsequently changed, to the American public which would have prevented all of the time, costs, and efforts put into taking this egregious and possibly criminal act through the court system, when a simple action by the candidate himself, would have put all of this to rest.
IF Obama is who he says he is, then the time to prove it has long passed. When I went to work as a government contractor, I was vetted far more stringently than Obama ever was. It’s a total joke that someone can become President without having to document who he is.

It would be quite interesting if the assertion was shown to be true, but from all I have read, it is only speculation.

From the few posts I have read so far it seems that most folks don’t realize that BO did in fact use his Indonesian passport to travel to Pakistan in 1981 and this passport has to be renewed every 5 years. What I am now trying to confirm is exactly what date he initially got his passport to be able to establish the last time he had to renew it before 1981. Either way our constitution states that if you have ever held duel citizenship you can not be commander in chief of the USA. You can run for President all you want but you can’t be comm. in chief so it is fruitless. I just don’t see how he thinks he will get away with all of this. For some very insightful reading go and read the legal papers filed in the lawsuit now going on against BO and the DNC stateing he is not eligable to run for POTUS. You can learn plenty and read original papers for yourself.

Firstly, as regards Pakistan in 1981, Americans were not allowed to travel there due to severe unrest.
Secondly, as Dr. Kate and jrclhdc assert, Obama’s Indonesian passport had to have been the one he used to get there. However, as Indonesia prohibits dual citizenship, it therefore follows that he did NOT have American citizenship at the time he held the Indonesian passport.
Finally, to obviate the need for conjecture and opinion, I would recomment the following link to Philip Berg’s legal pleadings in the case he has filed against Obama and the DNC citing his inelgibility to hold office of POTUS and asking for relief preventing him from being nominated and/or running.
The facts, along with the US Constitution’s Article II Section 1 are laid out along with case law and precedent.

You can apply for a Social Security number for your baby when you apply for your baby’s birth certificate.
Bemused, both my babies were given SS #s almost immediately. I had to file but hospitals are pretty efficient about stuff like this nowadays. Forms are given along with addressed envelope to file..it’s nothing unusual.

There are no photos of BHO, Sr, and Jr. and/or Ann Dunham, except for that “visit” to Hawaii in 1971, when Barry was 10 years old.
And then we have the Seattle Times, reporting on 4/8/08 that “By 1962, Dunham had returned to Seattle as a single mother, enrolling in the UW for spring
quarter and living in an apartment on Capitol Hill. But friends said she got overwhelmed and returned to her family in Hawaii, and formally divorced Obama Sr. in 1964.” Barry was 7 months old in the spring quarter (March) of 1962, and she was living as a “single mother” — in Seattle? Obama, Sr. graduated UH in 1962, and left for Harvard. So where’s the cohabitation? The marriage? Where’s the relationship — aside from testimony from the Democratic congressman Neil Abercrombie of Hawaii (an Obama partisan) that the two knew each other at UH? Even he doesn’t go so far as to say they lived together. None of it makes sense, and the media writes fairy tales, and yawns.
Regarding the Berg lawsuit, I’m familiar with it — there’s all kinds of silliness in it, including a reference to that “Canadian birth certificate,” signed by Dudley Dooright, which was obviously posted on the net as a joke. The court will find Berg doesn’t have standing — just as two similar suits against McCain (born in Panama) were dismissed. It will then be up to either candidate, who will have standing after the election: McCain, if Obama wins, as to whether he wants to throw the country into further turmoil by filing suit after the election. If McCain wins, I have no doubt Obama and company will have no scruples contesting McCain’s “natural born” status.

I would be thrilled to see someone show that Obama is not a natural born citizen, but I think throwing claims like that around is harmful, not helpful to your goal.
I can imagine someone born in Philadelphia in 1790 with English immigrants for parents. I’m sure the framers would have considered that person to be a natural born citizen.
Assuming that Obama was born in HI and forgetting about Indonesia, How would that imagined person be any different from Obama?
Maybe the imaginary person wouldn’t have been granted citizenship by England, I don’t know, but I think that’s the only conceivable difference.
So your argument boils down to giving a foreign government authority to decide who can or cannot be our president.
What if Kenya decides to make President Bush a citizen, effective tomorrow? He would have dual citizenship. We’d have to replace him?

Second, I believe that EllieWyatt is correct in that it was possible for Americans to travel to Pakistan in 81. I know someone who traveled there with an American passport and visa in 1980, and he had no special connections or business there.

Just because Americans could travel to Pakistan doesn’t mean Obama did NOT have or use an Indonesian passport.
I assume it would have been easier to get there on an Indonesian passport than an American one, and I don’t know whether there were limits on American visas as to the length of time you could stay.

What I mean by “easier” could be any number of things about which we have no information, such as:
1. Was a visa required to travel on an Indonesian passport to Pakistan? If not, that would be the “easier” way to go, in that less red tape and paper work was required.
2. If he was in Indonesia when he decided to go to Pakistan, it might have been more difficult to get an American visa in Indonesia. We don’t know.
For the record, I think it’s entirely possible, maybe even probable, that he had Indonesian citizenship at that time and may still have it. So I think it’s quite possible he traveled using an Indonesian passport.
There is a good way to get the answer. Ask the Senator.

Taqiyya is an extremely corrosive principle. If you accept that someone may practice it, it means that you cannot trust _anything_ that person says. Obama probably had that training as a youth – whether he considers himself a muslim or not – and it seems to me that he practices it. It could be the result of his narcissm instead – I don’t think there’s much difference.
Even if he is sincere in his acceptance of Christianity (although to be honest, I’m not sure the version of Christianity is one that most Christians would recognize), other muslims are going to consider him to be still muslim. Or apostate. Either one could have interesting (as in “trouble”) consequences.
In any case, what is more immediately troublesome to me is that he states that he was never muslim. That is a blatant falsehood….which is why it bothers me. If he said “yes I was raised muslim, but have converted”, I wouldn’t have a problem…but he doesn’t. He denies he was _ever_ muslim, when we know that he was in fact born muslim and raised as a muslim for a period of his youth. Why the lie? Which raises the question of taqiyya.

Obama cannot agree with himself on the issues, let alone be *right*.
Fact: Obama does not meet the minimum criteria to run for president. Obama needs to recuse himself from the race as he is violating Constitution Law, more than a mere “technicality”.
McCain was born in Panama but you have not explained the circumstances of his birth. John McCain was born at a military installation in the Panama Canal Zone where his father served our country honorably. The Panama Canal Zone was under the authority and control of the United States government at the time of McCain’s birth. McCain is a United States citizen and therefore enjoys ALL the rights and freedoms afforded him as such, including running for president.
Obama owes this country an apology.
A quick point.
We’ve been asked, why not stick to the issues and get off this thing about dual citizenship.
For me, I’ll skip the obvious reasons for the Constitution’s concern for people who are citizens of another country serving as the leader of ours. That sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
But, to a second point this entire debate raises, a serious problem that seems to permeate the entire Obama candidacy. That is veracity. Openness. Basic truthfulness.
For a time, I was a state (and cross-designated federal) prosecutor. There is a time-honored and oft-proved tenet of witness examination. There are no small lies. If someone is untruthful, it taints their entire testimony. Because you can never know (without independent verification) when they’re lying.
The examples in Barack Obama’s case are legion. There is direct evidence, in his own words, in video tape after video tape, of saying something and later denying it was ever said. That should have been the end of the story right there. But, there are only spoon-fed excuses for real reporters out there, at least in at the major media outlets (with the rare, and very welcome exception and we appreciate them all), so none of these almost daily conflicts are ever explored, certainly not by asking the candidate.
But, I’ll take only one. The original statement, in a primary debate, later repeated to ABC news in an interview, that he (Barack Obama) barely knew William Ayers and passing him off as a “guy” who “lived in [his] neighborhood.”
Whether you like or don’t like William Ayers is irrelevant (to this point, not to the larger question of associations). The fact is (a/k/a the “truth”) that Barack Obama’s association with William Ayers, his wife and his father, were long-standing and deep.
It would not have taken a Perry Mason to end his campaign then and there, if Barack Obama had been willing to swear an oath (and, again, I don’t care if it’s to God, Allah or the Holy Chicken, just some oath that will trigger a perjury conviction if violated) and take the stand.
So, yes, I’m concerned if the man’s carrying dual citizenship but, for me, it concerns me more that he can’t be trusted.
He is a classic Machiavelli and I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. I certainly wouldn’t trust him with my country.
If you wonder whether or not his willingness to say anything (e.g., claiming McCain was against stem cell research — patently false — doesn’t care — says it anyway) has subsided, just call Henry Kissinger this morning.
Obama cites Kissinger (knowing what that name still seems to mean in our collective consciousness, whether or not well-deserved) in the debate. Kissinger says, as soon as the debate was over, McCain is right, Obama is wrong, and I don’t appreciate my position being misrepresented.
Again. His actions and statements do not hold up under the lightest level of scrutiny. A qualified prosecuted would eat him for lunch and save room for dessert.

I believe that those who have posted to this site have missed, or misread, something in the US Law. Either that, or I have believed something told to me by a Civics Teacher in the early 60’s.
That is; the United States does not recognize the dual citizenship of Inited States citizins. It doesn’t matte what the citizen says, or what the other country says, the United States did not, at the time, recognize the validity of “dual citizenship.”
I think that I have read that this policy was changed in the 1980’s, but it was not retroactive.
My further comment to all this is that if the RNC thought it could do so, do you not think that suit would have been brought by now to remove Mr. Obama from contention for the Presidential race of 2008?

Reports continue to come in that Barack Obama’s Presidential Campaign is threatening legal action against his critics.
On Tuesday (September 23), CBS affiliate KMOV reported that Obama had enlisted a number of Missouri law enforcement officials, including local sheriffs and prosecutors, “to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad [against Obama] during the presidential campaign.”

Have you all noticed that the Obama, Factcheck and Fight the Smears websites have been reformatted and now they all look very similar, as if they were designed by the same group or person?
Is Factcheck supposed to be associated with the 2 Obama sites? If so, it sure ruins their claims to objectivity.
Another weird thing: I did a Google search and looked at the Factcheck site. When I Googled “fight the smears” a list popped up, but it looked as if I had already gone to that website, when I hadn’t. (Do you know what I mean? The Fight the Smears entry on the list was already dimmed, as it is whenever I’ve already selected that entry from the list and gone to that site.) Pretty weird.

I guess they know that the school registration document might turn up soon in ads or the MSM, so they deleted that bogus claim. How the Winner guy must have had more than one version or made a new one that he released to the MSM? The video they ran on FOX, where Michelle Malkin commented about it, was different. It no longer claimed that Palin belonged to that secessionist party, just claimed she was a “strong supporter.” And they added verbage to make clear that those inflammatory opening statements weren’t made by Palin but by someone (the founder?) of that party.
Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky. But we’re on to you, BO. People save screen shots, you know. You can’t get away with trying to fool us. We save copies of bogus COLB photos, too. With exif info intact.
As for the “never a Muslim” claim, it’s not on Factcheck, either; not that I can see, anyway.
Nor does his own website have it. But I didn’t look through the entire site. I put the site name into the “domain” on a Google search and entered the phrase in the search argument, so I might be doing something wrong.
But since all these sites have been redone recently, the claim that he was NEVER a Muslim is nowhere to be (easily) seen. Not anymore.
The only place where I still see the phrase is on Fight the Smears, where listed below their “committed Christian” story, they cite a Newsweek article that does contain that phrase, within the article. But guess what? The reporters probably wrote that only because BO USED TO CLAIM that he WAS NEVER a Muslim.
Suddenly, all these sites no longer make that claim, but if you can find it, let me know and I’ll correct myself.
There’s an interesting comment about this TD story at Atlas Shrugs, from someone who lived in Kenya around that time. If I understand the comment correctly, Kenya would NOT have registered an out-of-country birth to a child born out of wedlock. And there would have been problems if they were married and they tried to register the birth at the British Consulate. BUT that’s IF the birth was out of the country. At least, that’s how I read it. Not proof of anything, but interesting.
Whether or not Sr. was actually his father, it would seem to me that IF Sr. accepted paternity, then for all intents and purposes, Sr. WAS his father. So, even if someone else is his father (a US citizen, e.g.), if Sr. is named as the father (as indicated by that birth announcement in the newspaper and maybe on his BC), then BO still has a problem with dual citizenship. Right?
I think this is a ploy. Give them a tiny bit of info. Send them off on tangents and hope that they ignore the dual Indonesian citizenship, multiple passports, trip to Pakistan (Pock-ee-stahn, as BO says), and also get everybody off the Ayers, SDS, Weather Underground, Black Panther associations and the possibility that their “friendship” dates to his time at Occidental and/or Columbia.
To the person who was worried about the issue of dual citizenship at the time of the Revolution: The Founders put a clause in the documents to allow for that special condition, for that special time. Read the documents and don’t try to divert people. It doesn’t apply to the 21st century.
Having dual citizenship and having lived in a foreign country during his formative years, possibly having triple or quadruple citizenship to boot, certainly puts him on a par with a naturalized citizen. He can’t be POTUS because of the possibility of dual loyalties. That’s exactly why it was in the Constitution.

When he was born, his father was a British citizen and therefore so was Obama.
When his father became a Kenyan citizen, then so did Obama. This is admitted by FactCheck (belatedly).
It has been rumored that there exists a Kenyan birth certificate, so either he was born in Kenya or his father, in an explicit act to ensure his Kenyan citizenship, caused that birth certificate to be created.
Maybe it was done at the British Consulate. Maybe at the time that Kenya became independent. But whatever the case, his father’s status means that he WAS a British citizen AND then later a Kenyan citizen, at the very least.
He may also have been (or still is) an Indonesian citizen. At least one contemporaneous document from his childhood ASSERTS CLEARLY that he WAS a citizen of Indonesia at that point in time.
IF he was born in the US, then he was also a US citizen at birth, and maybe also if his mother registered his birth later, wherever he was born.
Nobody disputes that NOW he is a US citizen, whether through naturalization to restore his US citizenship or if anybody can argue convincingly that he NEVER, EVER, EVER gave up his US citizenship by, for example, becoming an Indonesian citizen as a child or by NOT renouncing the possible Indonesian citizenship as an adult. Double negative. Sorry. If he renounced it explicitly, then it can be argued he never lost his US citizenship and then he MIGHT still be considered “natural born”. But I don’t think so. The issue is: Where do his loyalties lie? Indisputably with the US and with NO other foreign country or entity?
The issue is further complicated by whether or not he performed any explicit act ACCEPTING Indonesia citizenship after adulthood (or any other citizenship), such as using an Indonesian passport to travel or not registering for the draft because, if he was at the time a citizen of another country, he was not so required.

Regarding where Obama was born, has anyone checked with the Hawaii Dept. of Health?
There are fees collected for birth certificates, and whom they’ve collected fees from for birth certificates should be public information. You can’t get the birth certificate, but you should be able to ask if they have a record of receiving a request from Obama / the Obama campaign.
Meanwhile, the campaign has not yet provided proof of US birth to the lawsuit in Philadelphia.

The Obamabots will continue to dismiss Obama-Soetoro’s dual citizenship by saying that whatever other foreign citizenships he may have had or still has is irrelevant because he was born in the US or has a US parent. They will also claim that the Constitution does not speak of dual citizenships either so ergo, he must be a natural born citizen. Naturally, they will avoid reading Judah Benjamin’s incisive articles on why dual citizenship is not the same as being a natural born citizen. I think they will need a judgement against Obama and the DNC in Phil Berg’s lawsuit before they wake up from their drug-induced haze. Hopefully we’ll know by tomorrow from Berg why he is so confident in defeating Obama’s Motion to Dismiss in his response to Judge Surrick.
Regarding the searching for other Obamas, (i.e. the ‘list’ in the posts above) you might as well forget any relation to BO. I checked ancestry.com and Obama is also a Japanese surname – in fact many of them came to this country through the port of Seattle. I think searching for any connection with the idea of somehow ‘catching’ BO in some kind of tryst with another woman is a waste of time. If such a person existed, be assured the O-bots have paid her off and scrubbed the record clean.

I did a bit of reading on this. It appears that it could be taken up by each/any individual state’s electors (those that make up “The Electoral College”).
Then, were there to be a CHALLENGE made to the results of the Electoral College vote, it would be taken up by congress, as congress is the body that “declares the winners”.

Additionally, federal law mandates that such joint session to count the electoral votes and declare the winners of the election take place on the sixth day of January in the calendar year immediately following the meetings of the presidential electors. There is nothing in the constitution that prevents anyone from running for POTUS. There ARE requirements to be ELECTED (which is done by the Electoral College) and to SERVE (as decided by congress).

I have slept poorly since I began to read the works of TD and Judah this past July. I cheered when Philip Berg filed his lawsuit in Philadelphia right before the Democrat Convention, but all I hear today are the crickets chirping. As a couple of foregoing posters have noted with a light touch, perhaps the riddle of BHOJr’s origins are lying in plain sight, or at least in his autobiography (vol 1) Dreams From My Father (it’s late and I may have gotten that title wrong).
Anyway, here’s what I think after months of studying this subject. There’s a good chance the Democrat candidate for President is actually a natural-born citizen of the USA, but because of his mother’s wander-lust, and also lots of the other kind, he did end up with dual citizenships to one, two or twenty other countries, thru no fault of his own. Something icky was happening in the Dunham household, with teenager Anne finding herself in a family way at the audaciously young age of 17, this being 1961 and such activity was not usual for college-bound middle-class lassies. However, her dad was a leftist sympathizer and according to Barack’s book, hung out with Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist living and working in Hawai’i as a “community organizer” or as we used to call them, “left-wing labor agitator.” Frank was from Kansas, so were the Dunhams (Barack’s white grandparents), but what Barack doesn’t mention in his book is that Frank Davis received his training in communist indoctrination at the Abraham Lincoln School in Chicago, something that alerted the FBI who then kept tabs on the man in Hawai’i for 19 years! These records also show that Davis was called before a US Senate hearing in the 1950s and refused to answer whether or not he was a member of the CPUSA. Now Frank was born in 1905 so he was kind of a geezer when he was advising young Barack about his choice of colleges and how he should never sell out his ideas. Communists are usually careful in their personal associations, so while it is nice that Stanley Dunham was friendly with a black man who might otherwise be avoided by most white people, it is a bit strange that he won his trust sufficiently to invite him over to his home to “mentor” his grandson, “like a father”, in Barack’s own words. Bill Ayers and the other Weathermen would have recognized the name of Frank Davis and would most certainly have welcomed his protege/progeny to their Chicago revolutionary underworld.
I thought all this mildly odd and confusing until one day I read a chilling footnote. It seems that not only was Frank a “poet” and radical agitator, he also had published several works of hard-core pornography among which he described how he and his wife took a young girl in bed with them, saying that it was the youngster who came up with the idea. I have a creepy feeling that Barack’s grandfather was abusing his daughter, pimping her out even–she was his only child and she was given his name, again strange for 1961, Stanley Ann. The girl in Frank’s porn story was called Anne. Stanley Ann’s desperate criss-crossing the globe in search of the perfect father/man is just such a sad story, and so similar to those of other abuse victims, and Barack demonstrates himself to be a very damaged individual deeply ambivalent to women. His whole riff on abortions and how he wouldn’t want his daughters “punished” with a baby is also very revealing. All this makes him a valuable asset to those who would use him to do their bidding. The potential for blackmail is huge, not just for Barack but for our country.
I think Frank, even tho’ he was in his 50s when Barack was born, could very well be the father of Barack, which is why I say he is a natural-born citizen. I think that this event (Stanley Ann’s pregnancy) proved to be a catastrophe in the Dunham household. Mrs Dunham was the only one with a serious paying job at the Bank of Hawaii, Stanley supposedly sold furniture, but is described as “boisterous” i.e. feckless, so their daughter being knocked up by a Negro communist labor agitator might not go over too well at the Bank, not to mention what the neighbors would think.
(Question for another day: why did the Dunhams move so much?)
Stanley Ann was supposedly studying at the U of H, having graduated from hs in Mercer Island WA earlier that yr. So the pregnant Stanley Ann, knowing she is carrying a half black baby, finds some poor sucker foreign student from Africa and after a brief flirtation, claims she is pregnant by him and how abouts us gettin’ married? He says “no way” and gets himself to Harvard and away from that crazy white girl. If she went to Kenya and had the child there, as the Obama relatives claim, it still doesn’t prove that BHOSr is the father. I suppose everyone in the Obama clan should go on the Maury Povich Show and have DNA paternity tests for the edification of the American voter, but again the lack of relevant paperwork, this time a marriage license, makes one wonder.
One other item re: Frank Davis Marshall as BHOJr’s biological father. In the FBI files posted online that I looked through is a grainy old photo of Frank Davis seemingly in an office and holding a telephone to his ear. He is definitely not a dark-skinned Negro, like the photo shows BHOSr to be in the airport. His shirt sleeves are neatly cuffed and he is wearing a crisply knotted necktie. He has a high forehead and his hair is closely trimmed. What I find striking is his nose in profile resembles that of Barack Obama, slightly arched and a little bit pointed at the end, with the same nostril shape. IMO Barack Obama is too light-skinned to be the son, by a white mother, of Barack Obama Sr. The various other “half-brothers” picture, one in London, the other living in a hut in Kenya, do not even resemble our boy Barack, and yes, I know their mothers are African, but still it is asking a lot for us to believe all this stuff about people who are so far away.
Sorry to have gone on so long, but I think I may have made a point or two that others might be able to chew on a bit and perhaps come up with even more enlightening theories. Big Question: why do we have to do this at all? My blood starts to boil if I think too hard about who all is in cahoots with this. This has the potential to bring down our government, and Phillip Berg, Esq is correct in saying that it will bring disrepute to the Democrat Party. Sigh. Good night and good luck, everyone.

I think that Obama’s Father (if in fact he was the Father) automatically became a Kenyan Citizen in 1963. Barry Obama was born in 1961 either in Kenya or Hawaii. I believe Obama Sr. died in 1982. Obama would have been 20 or 21. I think Obama had to be 21 or 23 to renounce Citizenship, otherwise he would inherit his Father’s. I don’t know? You Read It!
It seems also that an Act of Parliament can change the Rules if they wish?

Even if Obama did become a citizen of Indonesia, and nobody has proven this, it would not have affected his US citizenship. Under US law, parents cannot give up their child’s US citizenship or perform any action that would cause their child to lose their US citizenship. This is true even if Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. It would have had no effect on his US citizenship.
Plus, nobody has proven that he became an Indonesian citizen. All that anyone has referenced is a school record that states he was Indonesian. Come back when you have a certificate of citizenship or naturalization in Indonesia.

A veteran friend of mine just told me this “not only not eligible to hold office of President, but ineligible for a security clearance!”
If he actually traveled to Pakistan when he was 20 and he and his friend went “shooting”, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out …he was doing his part as a Muslim and probably fired a few shots at the Russians.
This aside, if he came back to the US with “Pakistan” on his Passport, he would have been detained, debriefed and likely charged with violating the State Departments ban on American travel to that country.
If he used his Indonesian Passport, he could have gone back there and then returned to the US without Customs or the State Department knowing he had traVeled to Pakistan.
THIS COULD BE VERIFIED AND IS IMPORTANT TO EXPOSE THIS “STEALTH MUSLIM”.
And how can we citizen and voters make this man to come foreward and tell us the truth of who he is? and prove his elegibility to be POTUS?

My question is: why isn’t the mainstream media or the Obama campaign taking this seriously? Why isn’t this being discussed?
If he’s not qualified under the Constitutional requirements to be President, then he should not be in this Presidential race. It feels helpless knowing this information when nothing is getting done about it.

This is a very interesting turn of events. The American man Dr Corsi was recently reported to have been arrested in Kenya because there was fear that he might reveal information on Obama when he wanted to hold a press conference in Nairobi.
The question now is why he was arrested and who ordered his arrest. Was Obama’s hand in this in any way? We will never know the truth but what is clear is that Dr Corsi was seen as a threat while in Kenya.
When API asked Mrs Obama to comment on why Dr Corsi was arrested by the Kenyan government and whether she thought Kenya’s Prime Minister Mr Raila Odinga was involved in Dr Corsi’s arrest, she got irritated and and simply told API not to dig that which will support evil people who are out to stop her husband from getting the presidency.
When asked who she was referring to as the evil people, she stated that she was not going to elaborate much on that but that many conservative white people and even some African Americans were against her husband, but that this�group of blacks were simply doing so because of envy.
On Farakhan and his ministry, Mrs Obama told API that it was unfortunate that Mr Farakhan came out the way he did supporting her husband openly before the elections was over. That was not wholehearted support but one that was calculated to convince the American people that my husband will support the growth of muslim faith if he became the president, adding “even if my husband was able to prove that he is not a Muslim, he will not be believed by those who have come out strongly to destroy his chances of being the next President. Do real people expect someone to deny a religion when 80 percent of his relatives are Muslims?; Mrs Obama asked.
Mrs Obama asked API to write a good story about her husband and that will earn API an invitation to the innoguration ceremony when, as she put it , her husband will be installed as the next President of the United States of America next year.

I think you are mistaken about the copyright insistence (not that I am re-printing, publishing anything here) because it needs to be disseminated to as wide an audience as possible in as short a time as possible, before the election.
IMHO, to do this, one must allow it to be circulated freely.
So, what happens if Obama is elected Prez (God save us) and then it is proven that he was ineligible to run for office in the 1st place?!?
Know anyone who can authenticate the pictures of Obama’s mother?
Of course this doesn’t affect the outstanding question of his citizenship, because he still could have been born in Kenya, as some have alleged, but it might be the reason for the refusal to release his birth certificate: The theory is that there is no father listed on it.
But if this is his mother in the pictures, it would help serve to forward the argument that he is indeed Davis’s son, not Obama, Sr.’s — which translates into just another of the many, many lies he’s told.

Being born with dual citizenship on U.S. territory is not preclude “naturally born” status. Almost any child born in the U.S. to foreign national parents are considered citizens outright. This is part of the problem in Southern California, where Mexicans cross the border to have their children in the U.S.
