Well, well. I was wondering when this “story” was going to “break” now that Obama has returned from Hawaii. What a coincidence that it’s today, because we just pointed out that Factcheck.org has a conflict of interest in covering Barack Obama because they are owned by The Annenberg Foundation. And now they have published a new “fight the smears” story about Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth (COLB).
They have a photo of “Factcheck representatives” holding the COLB, and close-ups of the certificate number, stamps, and seal.
Before we go any further, let me stop to say this: YES, I also believe that Obama was born in the USA. I also believe that the Obama COLB reflects his original birth certificate. Read this blog. The issues are multiple citizenships and identities, the status of his current citizenship, updated birth certificates, etc., not to mention his lack of transparency.
I found this part of the Factcheck article particularly interesting:
We asked the Obama campaign about the date stamp and the blacked-out certificate number. The certificate is stamped June 2007, because that’s when Hawaii officials produced it for the campaign, which requested that document and “all the records we could get our hands on” according to spokesperson Shauna Daly. The campaign didn’t release its copy until 2008, after speculation began to appear on the Internet questioning Obama’s citizenship. The campaign then rushed to release the document, and the rush is responsible for the blacked-out certificate number. Says Shauna: “[We] couldn’t get someone on the phone in Hawaii to tell us whether the number represented some secret information, and we erred on the side of blacking it out. Since then we’ve found out it’s pretty irrelevant for the outside world.” The document we looked at did have a certificate number; it is 151 1961 – 010641.
Interesting, indeed. I have the following questions for Factcheck. Since they are so on-top of this story, I’m sure they have answers:
1. What took the campaign so long to show an actual document to the media?
2. What other media did the campaign offer to show the COLB to, and have any others seen it and touched it, handled and photographed it? Or only Annenberg-owned Factcheck?
3. Why did the campaign go to such trouble to digitally black out the certificate number when it could have stuck a piece of solid black tape over the number, especially since, as Factcheck reported, they were in such a hurry?
4. Why did Janice Okubo tell a reporter that the COLB was ordered “this month” (June 2008 ) if it was ordered in June 2007?
5. Since Factcheck is seemingly in the business of helping the Obama campaign fight smears, did Factcheck ask the campaign about the rumor that Republicans are holding Barry Soetoro’s birth certificate? If so, what was the campaign’s response? If not, why not?
And finally…
6. How did Factcheck end up getting this access? Did they ask the campaign, or did the campaign offer to show it to Factcheck? The article is mysteriously vague on that point: “FactCheck representatives got a chance to spend some time with the birth certificate.”
Oh, I know I know, I’m just a loopy conspiracy theorist/anonymous blogger. But please, humor me for a few minutes to post an update answering these reasonable questions. You’d be surprised how many people read this blog, and I can assure you that most of them are not crazy.
Also, Factcheck should make a correction: Atlas Shrugs is not an anonymous blogger.

A few months ago should have been BEFORE Obama’s campaign ‘rushed’ to post the document. We’re supposed to believe they couldn’t figure out whether it was safe to use the number?? Further, Okubo says:
‘”The thing that’s redacted is just our file number,” she said. “Potentially, if you have that number, you could break into the system.”‘
So we have Obama’s peeps saying the number is no big deal and are showing it at FactCheck, yet Okubo, only a week ago, says it might be a big deal. Further, are we really to believe that the DOH wouldn’t cooperate with Obama’s campaign in telling them what to do about the number?? It’s time for these people to start telling the truth.”
What hospital was he born in? Why is the border so faded out? Why does he have a II instead of Jr? Teenage boys prefer II and the final name change was when he was a teenager? When was race of father changed to African? What was the birth name? Why won’t Obama authorize Hawaii to post the file and answer questions? Why did Okubo say they contacted the campaign and got no response?
Why was Annenberg file blocked at same time this was released? Did Ayers or Annenberg pay for his Harvard education? What about authorizing all governments, states, passport offices, hospitals, religious institutions, schools, adoption or birth agencies, etc. to release all records, post them on the internet and answer questions?
This lawyer also has an office not far from my home area in Montgomery County, northern PA. This guy is real good at getting things aired even if it does not go anywhere. If you were playing million dollar poker as a team you would want him as your teammate. He’s good! He and his wife Mari are a powerhouse couple. This could be interesting as CNN today aired the Ayers-Weatherman thing and Fox News is looking into it as well. Seems things starting to unravel.

I am tired of the whole COLB issue, and I agree with TD’s ultimate take on it, but I’d just point out that paper documents are really easy to forge. So are drivers’ licenses. A metal seal is easily made if you have the technical skills — it’s a really archaic form of “security.” I do think it’s odd that the document was made public right after he got back from Hawaii. I’d like to see the long form, and the condition of the paper on the long form (i.e., is it 40-something years old).

It’s so damn simple to get this sorted out. Obama has to sign a consent to the release of the documents relating to his birth on file with the Hawaii authorities. Any other explanation is equivocation.
Only a fool will accept less. One does not prove an official certificate through testimony.
The question of needing a new birth cert after an adoption may have an answer. Names on BCs are changed after adoption to preserve the anonymity of the birth parent(s). This is done for the good of the adoptive parents as well. Obama’s case is fundamentally different. A step parent may, with the parent’s/partner’s approval adopt the partner’s child. This happens all the time. In a case such as this there is no need to change Obama’s BC. The legal adoption by Soetero is all the paperwork that was necessary. Since the natural father had abandoned the family, Soetero’s action would have been readily approved with his wife’s signed approval. Changing a BC would have been unnecessary, as no party needed the protection of anonymity.
How about Clinton’s lie that she has experience in foregein countries where as that to false? How about the lies that she was walking through sniper fire through Bosina when she wasn’t?

Obama Sued in Philadelphia Federal Court on Grounds he is Constitutionally Ineligible for the Presidency

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.
Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit–just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver–for the health of the Democratic Party.
“I filed this action at this time,” Berg stated, “to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.”.
Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator’s background, and in today’s lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a naturalized U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls “dual loyalties” due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.
Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator’s use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of “multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries” remains on the table.
In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, “apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight.” As Sen. Obama’s own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham–Obama’s mother–gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.
Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama’s birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals–Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital–in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple “registry of birth” records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.
Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama’s mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a “natural born” citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.
Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed “natural born,” that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama’s registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name “Barry Soetoro” and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.
The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama’s half-sister.
“Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama’s lies and obfuscations,” Berg stated. “If the DNC officers … had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws.”
“It is unfair to the country,” he continued, “for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected.”

Both of my parents are US citizens. My brother was born abroad during the 60’s. He had to get naturalized citizenship in order to join the military.

This is about Obama. Trying to compare is not the solution. He has only been a Senator for a 1 1/2 years before he started campaigning for the presidency.
Based on his lack of experience, he is unqualified and should have very little baggage or none.

No records have been produced from any of the colleges he attended, or from the State Senate, etc.

You haven’t been following along very well. I think most of us believe Senator Obama has U.S. citizenship. We also suspect he has Indonesian citizenship too. He would have acquired the dual citizenship when his mother married Lolo Soetoro and Mr. Soertoro adopted Senator Obama.
Under the Constitution, dual citizenship is a no-no for anyone who wants to be president. The founding fathers believed dual citizenship would result in divided loyalties and a president wouldn’t be able to give his full allegiance to the nation. For some reason, they thought that was important.
You’re correct that the Constitution doesn’t care where Senator Obama was born, as long as one of his parents was a citizen at the time of his birth. You’re incorrect in thinking Senator Obama hasn’t acquired at least Indonesian citizenship, possibly Kenyan and as some theorize, Canadian. While he might have a successful argument that he never lived in Kenya and therefore all of his allegiance is to the U.S., the argument doesn’t work as well with Indonesia. Which explains why Senator Obama doesn’t care to have his birth certificate examined or release any school and college records that could indicate he once had the adopted last name of Soetoro.

Lee M. The COLB posted is identical to the COLB in the photo. The fold is in the same place, the date is the same, and the borders etc. are identical. It would appear that the posted COLB is the same as the actual paper COLB from the article.

Well, I’ve seen the pics, and this is all very fascinating, but I’d still like to know why one of the charges factcheck.org left out was that the Obama birth certificate has a different looking border from any Hawaiian birth certificate that has appeared before or since. Does Obama get a special printer in Hawaii for himself only? And why do the pictures that factcheck.org show have date stamps from March 12th of this year if they only got access to the document and took these pictures recently? And again, just like Kos, why no explanation of how they got access when the Obama campaign has been turning down requests left and right up till now? Why the change of heart all of a sudden, but only with factcheck.org?
I wonder if Joe voted for John Kerry and John Edwards in 2004. Both “voted to invade Iraq.” Why is it only Hillary Clinton who has the vote held against her?
We only have Obama’s word that he even gave a 2002 speech against the war. No newspaper noted it, and there are no video or audio recordings. The clips the campaign puts out were recorded afterward in a studio. Funny how he hung onto the text of that speech when all of his state senate records seem to have disappeared.
BA is correct. The ONLY way you proceed with this is exactly as he states. You aquire these official documents from the governmental agencies who are in charge of protecting the INTEGRITY of them. Their (agencies) credibility and chain-of-command is on the line. Phillip Berg has sued Obama in Federal court it might bring to light the headline topic that a African newspaper published back in the Early part of June 2008. I fortunatly kept a screen shot of the headline as it was very exciting to see somebody make this wild connection. There have been many websites that I have read who quote FactCheck.org as proof of Obama’s info. Now, FactCheck is/was involved with the Annenberg Foundation. After this, who could possibly believe FactCheck.org since it is in their best interest to lie for Obama.
I can’t find any update on the petition by Mitchell Langberg (at least 5000 signers) to the FEC….I wanted to ask him if he could join Philip J. Berg. I also wish that Berg would put up a blog with a petition to sign, so I could sign it.

I think it’s too late for the democratic party at this point anyway. Obama and the DNC have done far too much damage. Many Hillary supporters have swayed over to McCain quite awhile ago and I doubt that they will change their minds.

Langberg has asked to view the actual, original documents of his COLB and BC in his letter to the FEC. I hope he continues to persist for this info.
Obama has exposed himself. No one should be able to run for the presidency of the United States without being fully vetted. If he can’t or won’t do it, then I think he should step down. If he doesn’t, then the Super Delegates must act on his lack of transparency to the American people and to the Democratic Party and say, “without these documents you cannot verify if you meet the requirements as a candidate for the presidency.
Since you refuse to show us any documents and believe that we should just take you at your word, which we cannot do since we are duty bound by our Constitution, we are asking you to step down because you cannot be considered as a candidate and you cannot be on the roll call at this convention.
If he doesn’t, then he should be escorted out and placed in the cage where he wants to put all of Clinton’s supporters to be housed.

It looks like Mr. Soetoro’s campaign is arming itself to combat all the allegations the GOP is waiting to release after he is crowned in Denver. I hope that Mr. Berg’s lawsuit in the US District Court in Philadelphia succeeds in allowing everyone access to all the documents Soetoro has been hiding from everyone.
Until I see a hi-res scan from these people, I don’t think that they deserve the benefit of the doubt. Obama has consistently been misleading when it comes to this issue, so the burden of proof is still on him. Viva la techdude!
After many years working in industry, I was offered a position with the federal government in my area of expertise. I filled out many pages of paperwork and provided copies of my birth certificate sent directly from the state in which I was born. The same was done with university transcripts. I signed SF-180 so the department could access my military records. That was not all. Former neighbors and even my ex-wife were interviewed about me. Bank records were sought and provided. I was then selected for a pay grade of GS-15.
It does seem that the presidency is a bit higher pay grade than I held. I confess to some surprise that candidates for federal office are not subjected to the same scrutiny as me. Are they perhaps above the laws that apply to federal employees by virtue of candidacy for political office?
I had to have a security clearance despite the fact that my position had nothing to do with issues of national security. I was investigated by the FBI and certainly didn’t resent that though I felt that given my department and agency, there was little likelihood that I would be present when security matters were discussed. Suffice it to say that I got the position and was rapidly promoted through grades. I did decide I did not wish to enter the Senior Executive Service as it would have required a move to DC and I was quite happy where I was and with my salary.
I suggest that it makes a great deal of sense to apply the same standards to elected officials as to employees. The elected officials have far more power to cause good or ill than an employee in Civil Service. I think the same security and financial investigations are in order for possible members of either house of Congress and the elected executive branch candidates. I never resented the investigation or providing records.
When I was in industry as a manager, I had background checks run on all potential new hires. Some falsely claimed degrees they didn’t have, some lied about other issues such as if they had ever been known by another name. Most didn’t.
By the way, I did hire a man with a felony record and did so knowingly. He had stolen a car at age 17. He told me that on his application and we spoke about that. At age 42 he applied for a job with my company. He had gotten a degree in a relevant field and not even a traffic ticket in over 25 years. He was not in a position to control money, so I hired the fellow. It was a very good hire. The moral of this is that is far better to tell the truth on a resume or job application than to lie.
I don’t know Senator Obama’s background.
The evidence I have so far seen seems thin. This could be easily corrected by providing the information. At this point there seems little proof to me that he was born in the United States and/or is a “natural born citizen” as specified. I frankly do not know if he has held dual citizenship but the issue should be put to rest. Senator Obama is in a position to answer these questions as I did with my records for federal employment. I don’t have these answers and he does or at least has them available.
It would be in Senator Obama’s interest to put these questions to rest.

I agree with jcm. The way this photo shot was presented in bits and pieces makes no sense. Why not take a high resolution shot of front and back instead of a series of closeups.

This makes no sense. If the numbers are real the information can be verified, but Hawaii will not send you a copy. The COLB posted on the website might match a copy that was issued when he was born. Since they will not give the Kos copy to the media there is no way to analyze if it is real. So your story is probably true- that the kos COLB was a forgery but the info probably almost matches the original. So the important story is-Obama posts forged COLB on website.
TD thanks for your tenacity and that of your writers. The lawsuit filed by a former attorney general will be hard to shush or ignore. This is about discovery motions which I doubt Barry will be unable to ignore as they are routine in the filing of all suites and are quite extensive. Barry will have to convince a judge that he doesn’t have to provide these routine documents. Don’t see how he can do this without it looking like a further example of a corrupted system. The COLB originally posted is still a fake — no matter what those new photos show:
1.) scanning or compression will not cause the halos around the letters, or result in letters that crisp.
2.) No explanation for the obama border — not another like it before or after.
3.) The box covering the cert number aligns perfectly with the text on the COLB. This would require pefect alignment when scanning — the chances are astronomical that this alignment could be so perfect.
4.) I was able to tease out the upper fold in the COLB scan, but don’t recall the bottom fold evident in the new pictures. (this doesn’t prove anything, but…)
5.) With a better fact-check scan we might be able to compare the upper fold in the real artifact with the fold evident in the original COLB scan presented.
It comes as not a great surprise that Strata has
immediately jumped on the Factcheck site to prove that anyone not immediately believing Factcheck (and Strata) is just “nuts”.

Anyone can hold a bc and claim its the real thing but actually examination by both parties will resolve the issue very quickly.

After looking at the photos posted on Factcheck.org, I cannot imagine why they would show only vague shots from a distance and closeups of specific portions of the paperwork in question. With all the controversy connected with this COLB, I would assume that many high-def photos showing the certificate “head on” would be used, and that it would be scanned by Factcheck for reference. And why would they take photos of it outside if they had “free reign” to examine it for a few hours as claimed? I would personally have also photographed it next to something containing the date (such as a newspaper) to prove the photos were current. This makes the question above about the March 2008 date all the more disconcerting.
All in all, a very unsatisfactory job by Factcheck in my opinion. Keep up the great work TD! BTW – any idea if TechDude is involved in Berg’s lawsuit?

I could take individual pictures of the raised seal and notary signature from my birth certificate. I could also take pictures of the seal and signature from another bc and claim it came from mine.

I found 9 images available on the FactCheck site, but there doesn’t appear to be one of the entire back side of the certificate, just the close ups. If part of the back bleeds through to the front, then we’d also expect to see the front bleed through to the back and see if it’s all part of the same document.
Also, if you look at the date stamp from the back of the ‘new’ images, it doesn’t match the scans that have been posted. The zeros are shaped differently and the 6 seems to be a little different too. And yes all these images were shot March 12. Maybe the date wasn’t set properly on the camera, but this is yet another detail that just doesn’t add up.

The implications of this announced filing are not apparent at this juncture and caution is always advisable.
This could conceivably be a preemptive move by the Obama people to bring this burgeoning matter to a certain sympathetic court, judge, or in such a way that the lawsuit will be dismissed, ridiculed, or placed in limbo until far in the future.
Meanwhile other filings could be dismissed on this basis of this one being before the court or being dismissed.
Much, much more information is needed about this filing, the person and parties involved, and the germane court environment – apparently that of Philadelphia, which may say something in itself – before we may really know what is going on.

I guess I have only one question. I am not an expert on what a real Hawaii COLB should look like but I was under the impression that the Julian Date was used as apart of the Certificate No.
For an example:
The Hawaii Birth Certificate of Patricia Docosta lists her as born on May 14, 1930 which is Julian Date 134 – 1930.
The Certificate has a date that it was accepted by the state register which was May 27, 1930 or Julian Date 147 – 1930.
It appears by the certificate number that it was processed on 151 – 1930 or May 31, 1930.
Contrast and compare that to Obama’s alleged certificate of live birth.
His birth date is listed as Aug. 4, 1961 or 216 – 196. The Date filed by the register is Aug. 8, 1961 or 220 – 1961. But, the date the certificate was\processed shows to be 151 – 1961 or May 31, 1961. May 31, 1961 comes earlier than Aug. 4, 1961
If indeed Hawaii uses the Julian Date as a part of the certificate number then the COLB is a horrible fake and Obama’s campaign staff is incompetent.
All of these questions, you have to ask yourself why? Should it be that Obama can continue to hide, deceive, and obfuscate information regarding his personal life. Mr. Obama stinks.

How stupid do they think the American public is? Note the connections — Fact Check , Annenberg, Bill Ayers — They’re all one and the same.
I really believe this is all the work of some very skilled Obamabots. TX is not a bot, but I think it’s possible she was fooled by one or several.
Is it any coincidence bloggers are spending hours and hours day after day on this nonsense? No of course not. The Obama thugs want his detractors to focus on conspiracy theories and not the real issues that will be his downfall. While we spend all our energy on theories the Obamabots plant, Obama himself slips right on into the whitehouse.
Be careful who you trust. There are a lot of people sitting behind their computers right now laughing their asses off and get off on this shit. Stay focused on things that will destroy Obama, like his support of infanticide, his ties to homegrown terrorists, Rezko etc etc. 99.99% of voters don’t pay attention to or care about conspiracy theories.

ALL of us have photocopies of our birth certificates floating all over the place in various files and stapled to documents and applications. None of the certificate numbers are blacked out.
When the embossed stamp issue came up, it would have been a simple matter to post the image Jackson Pearson posted upthread. The whole thing seems orchestrated.

This sentence can be read a couple of different ways: Did the campaign ask only Hawaii officials for “all the records we could get our hands on”, or is she speaking more generally of ALL records they could get their hands on?
And what records DID they receive that haven’t been released? Occidental, Columbia, Harvard records? Complete medical records? Passport records? Adoption records? Name change records? ??
Look at Picture 3 and Picture 6. We might have big case of sleight of hand going on here. Notice that you can see the seal in Picture 6, but not in Picture 3. Also notice that you can’t see the child’s name in Picture 6. Also notice you the bottom fold is very pronounced in Picture 6. It crinkles up at the top of the section that says ‘Father’s Name’. In Picture 3 you can’t see much of the bottom fold at all. Finally, the shade of green is completely different. This may be a case of the real COLB had a different name on it and the forgery placed a new name on it.
I just wonder why anyone could believe that the Secret Service, FBI, CIA, NSA, et al would truly be fooled by this. Is it because they want to wait and let it come out after the convention? Would that really cause Demos and others who are pissed at the direction the country is headed to vote for MCSame? People, let’s get real; if this came out AFTER he was vetted by these agencies, THEY would look silly, not OBAMA and his supporters! These groups would do well to focus on the REALLY important issues: BO’s votes in the Senate, his relative inexperience (if you follow that thought) and his politcal stances. No one engaged in any rational thought believes the lie that he wasn’t an American citizen, and the ones who do believe aren’t going to be convinced otherwise, no matter how much evidence is presented to them. It’s like not getting correct change from a vending machine and trying to make a reasoned argument to it about how it still owes you money. You can talk until you’re blue in the face, but the machine isn’t capable of hearing you, and, even if it could hear you, the mechanism inside it that counts out change has concluded that you got the correct amount, and there’s nothing you can do to convince it otherwise because it isn’t capable of recognizing that it made a mistake.
Rather than squelching the doubters, the idiots at FactCheck provided me with a few cruise missiles to nuke their contentions.
Before I say anything, I want to make it perfectly clear, that I started this investigation more than two months ago, and although I might have been silent for a few days, I never stopped doing it.
My analyses have always stood on their own two feet, and were never propped up in any way by someone else’s research. Nor did`it ever require any references to anyone else, with the exception of acknowledgments to people who provided me with genuine COLB documents.
Many thanks go out to TD for being the go-between for me to ask friends and readers for true image copies of a COLB. Her assistance helped me to score not only scans of a 2007 COLB that is contemporary to the alleged June 9, 2007 Obama/Kos/FC COLB, but also digital photos of it.
Funny how things have a habit of working themselves out.
The first things I received were the digital photos of one 2007 COLB. Then, I requested and received high res scans of two COLBs: one tri-folded and the other perfectly flat.
These photos confirmd what I already knew about how COLBs are supposed to be folded like an accordian.
When FactCheck posted the uncropped image of the Obama/Kos image, the presence of only one fold, even under image detecton, was even more suspicious.
There are a whole host of other critical features missing or out-of place on this “obviously brand-new” June 2007 COLB.
For starters, FactCheck used a little prestidigitation here by presented this new “old” copy in little bits and pieces designed to placate the public, while not allowing others to see the missing ones that were the most problematic parts of it.
Remember the signature stamp that was barely visible, even under heavy image enhancement? Remember how this amorphous blob was located way off to the left side of the COLB?
Well, now it’s clear as day, right smack dab in the middle with the date stamp riding directly above it. Not only are date stamps never placed right above the signature block on any existing COLBs was on the forged COLB.

If one 151 – 1961 is a Julian Date that would be the 150th day of 1961 which corresponds to May 31, 1961.
If that is true than indeed the COLB is a fake.

There’s part of this story that doesn’t add up: This is FactCheck’s comment:

Obama’s campaign is saying they ‘rushed’ to release the document and couldn’t get help from the DOH on deciding what to do about the number.
Now this is from the Honolulu Advertiser:
‘Health officials contacted the Obama campaign a few months ago in response to the persistent inquiries “to see if they could try and resolve the issue with the people who were asking questions,” she said.’
A few months ago should have been BEFORE Obama’s campaign ‘rushed’ to post the document. We’re supposed to believe they couldn’t figure out whether it was safe to use the number?? Further, Okubo says:
‘”The thing that’s redacted is just our file number,” she said. “Potentially, if you have that number, you could break into the system.”‘
So we have Obama’s peeps saying the number is no big deal and are showing it at FactCheck, yet Okubo, only a week ago, says it might be a big deal. Further, are we really to believe that the DOH wouldn’t cooperate with Obama’s campaign in telling them what to do about the number?? It’s time for these people to start telling the truth.

I looked at the pictures of the COLB and would like to know why they don’t match. Some of them have a date (June 6 2007) under the raised seal and some of them don’t, they only have a purple smudge. I thought at first it was just blurred but on re-checking noticed that the ones with dates also had a signature certifying it as a true copy and the ones with the smudge doesn’t. just my 2 cents worth

Regarding suit filed in Fed. Court in Philadelphia – Obama constitutionally ineligible for presidency — when will MSM comment? Where are the court reporters for the Philadelphia newspapers? Local TV stations? If even part of this is true, it’s Pulitzer stuff.

The recording date is not reported. Did a hospital and attending physician submit a few days after birth, or did a family member report some time later making it a delayed record. By not just making the whole thing public it makes additional debate possible. This is silly and giving it to a group financed by Annenburg ,which the Obama backer, it is only more questionable. Enough already. Just release the whole thing instead of a photo of some moron holding it up like an elementary kid’s award in the local paper.

I have sent this to all the media outlets I know of, but still NO mention of it. The fact that all these suspicions are out there should be scaring the superdelegates ( I also contacted them), but everyone is just falling in line behind Obama, Dean and Pelosi like lemmings.
It is up to us to keep at the media and supers about this.

Also the 151 is followed by the year the child was born, then the rest of the numbers, so those numbers appear correct to me.
Thanks for the highlight of my comment TD. I think the Obama campaign’s entire behavior is vindication of your work. They are scared, which shows they are scared of something coming out. They are delaying until after the election. That is what we always see Axelrod Obama do.
One other thing, the certificate number will remain the same no matter when the copy of the certificate is made.
Fact Check used the two most junior staff at their org to do this latest COLB article.
They cite three sources – two are gov’t sites for blank passport and birthcertificate requests and the other is the St. Petersbury times in Florida.
The St. Pete Times – launched in the summer of 2007 says “we are inspired by the great work done by Books Jackson at Fact Check”…
St. Pete Times is owned by the Poynter Institute for media (tax exempt) but for content it is under The Times group,,, ie new work times etc.

Soetoro and Axelrod want to keep delaying the truth about his COLB until after his coronation and present the American people with a fait accompli. They would then dare people to forcibly remove him from the ballot should he then be found to be ineligible by claiming that he is the popular choice and that removing him would be undemocratic and possibly threatening (again) riots by his supporters. This is why I hope that Berg’s lawsuit gets a fair hearing today in court and that finally we’ll know the truth behind Soetoro’s citizenship status.
Monet, check the constitution again. Nothing in it prevents a dual citizen from becoming president. So long as Obama was born in or under the protection of the USA, is at least 35 years old, and has lived in the USA for at least 14 years, he’s eligible, no matter what other citizenships he may hold.
And US citizenship, once obtained, cannot be lost involuntarily. It doesn’t matter what you do, once you’re a citizen you’re a citizen forever, unless you voluntarily renounce it. Even if you swear an oath to another country saying you renounce your US citizenship, if you write to the US consul first, stating that you don’t really intend to renounce your citizenship, then it’s not renounced, regardless of what you told the foreign government. (Of course the consul is free to tell the foreign government that you lied to it.)

All I have is access to my daughter’s birth certificate and the image of DeCosta’s and Obama’s posted in a different thread. They all have 151 followed by the birth year. My daughter’s original copy from 1990 has the same serial number as the copies we made about a year ago. So it seems highly likely that the number remains the same.
No one has vetted Obama. Why, I wouldn’t know, but neither the FBI, CIA, DNC, etc. have not asked for proof of his citizenship or anything else and they won’t.
I was told by some that if he weren’t a citizen then people would have been all over this, especially the FBI. Oh really, people have received death threats on the internet and they can’t get the FBI to investigate.
I called my SOS and though I spoke to someone in his office…..the answer was Obama isn’t a dual citizen and he’s a citizen because his mother was a citizen.
I’m mentioning the above because that is the furtherest anyone goes about Obama.
The Democratic Party knows that overall democrats have been loyal over the years and will vote for a democratic candidate. They have assumed too much with their selection antics.
The fact that many Americans want to know if he is a dual citizen and/or if he was actually born in the U.S. is certainly NOT too much to ask of any candidate.
I heard that HRC was already fully vetted, but if that isn’t the case well I’d like to see her COLB and BC and any other documents, same with McCain…McCain did show his BC already.
Comparing candidates isn’t the issue however. Obama has been extremely vague about his past and just because he wrote two books does not mean that we should take that info as fact. But,
unfortunately, this is the info that swirls around the MSM and various websites who are pro Obama.
When they do their own investigating and stop relying on Obama’s half-truths then I can take what they write more seriously.
If anyone else has a petition, I will sign it. This is the future of our Country. Also, the American people should not have to guess at who they can write to when these situations arise.
In the future, I think that anyone who wants to become a candidate for the presidency should have all documents ready to proof their eligibility. And, a designated individual(s) should be responsible for the accuracy of a candidates documentation of eligibility.
It’s sad to say, but no one wants to take the responsibility for vetting Obama. Everybody is assuming that we was, but why haven’t the American people been told if he actually was. My guess is that it’s because he wasn’t and they think they can just get him through on a free ride and a free pass.
Koa: There’s a theory that the “151″ may mean Honolulu, and the serial number may mean the serial number of the order of which the birth was recorded. In 1961 there were approximately 15000 births in Honolulu, and Obama’s number is given as 10641. which would be about right for the 9th month, 2/3rds into the year of 15,000 births.

How did he get the certificate updated and still have the 2007 stamp?.
Screwed up border could be caused by using a BETA printer program and only the tech would have a copy of the BETA.
Makes sense to use the BETA, it could be used on any printer and would not be officially recorded as being printed.

For Hawaii borths in 1961 were about 18,000. the 2/3′’s mark in the year would be around 12,000 births. That is August would serialize in the approximate range of 10,500 through 12,000.
That’s even better for Obama’s number — since it puts him born in the first week of August.

Sort of. If I figure the average births for her year per day, she would of had to been born 23 days earlier. Maybe more babies were born toward the end of the year to account for that.
There’s a problem. The ‘original’ scan of the image posted at FactCheck has less paper on the edge past the border than the amount that shows in the new photos. I went back and looked. If you check the scan, you’ll see there appears to be an edge and then white space (presumably the back of the scanner lid) that goes all the way around the paper. The certificate was off-center with more paper showing on the right side than the left side. In the new photos, there’s a lot more paper on the left side than there is in the scan. I’m guess there’s about 1/8 inch to the left of the border and the scan and 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch showing on the left side of the border in the photos. This hard copies aren’t the same as the digital copy, even though it lines up. Something funny is going on.
