CNN regularly includes Donna Brazile, a superdelegate, on its “Election Center” panel. They officially refer to Brazile as a “CNN Contributor.” Paul Begala, James Carville and others, in contrast, are referred to by CNN as “CNN Contributor, Clinton Supporter.”
Why does CNN continue to pay Donna Brazile to sit on that panel, day after day, and pretend to be neutral when it’s apparent to a 10-year old that Brazile supports Barack Obama?
It’s unethical, unprofessional, and infuriating.
I stopped watching CNN’s election coverage due to its anti-Hillary bias months ago but when I read about this segment, I had to take a look. Pay attention to the titles CNN puts up for Begala and for Brazile. And listen to Brazile explain, in response to Cambell Brown’s suggestion that Brazile is in-the-tank for Obama, how she is “not undecided” but “undeclared.” Does that mean, Donna, that you have decided who you prefer for President but you have not yet “declared” as a Superdelegate because you don’t want to lose your CNN paycheck?
She sounds angry at anyone’s suggestion that Barack Obama may have flaws.
And take a look at Brazile’s website. Sure sounds like she should declare, doesn’t it?
To Obama’s opponents and those carrying the dirty water, it’s all about winning, not governing or leading a diverse, multiethnic and multicultural society. Our strength has always come from our ability to unite as one people, one indivisible nation…
With a wink and a nod, Obama’s detractors and political opponents use code words such as electability to drive home the most divisive of messages: Obama’s 20-year association with what some in the media world label as a radical pastor is now new fodder to make him a drag on the Democratic ticket or an easy target for the Republicans. Pick your weapons carefully
And here’s an email reply from Brazile to a Hillary supporter who wrote her suggesting that she might vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee. I saw this posted on another website and I’ve edited it for privacy.
From: Donna Brazile
Subject: RE: Switching to Republican Party - I’m a Hillary supporter
Date: May 7, 2008 7:48 PM
Yes, please join Rush and McCain asap. The train has left. Catch it.
Please don’t send these emails to working people like myself. Notice you sent it to my campus address. I am a working class person. Can you find someone who drinks latte?
Message to the base: stay home.
Message to the base: stay home? Way to unify, Donna.
CNN: Your credibility and integrity is going down the sewer. You should immediately fire Donna, or re-classify her “Obama Supporter.” You should have done it months ago. She’s no more “neutral” than I am.

Yes, everything about CNN stinks when it comes to pretending to cover up their bias towards Obama. Give me a break.
I do have one slight disagreement with the letter…I actually think a 5 year old could figure out Donna is an Obama supporter, not a 10 year old as was suggested.

Hit the nail right on the head here! Do they really think it is not completely transparent whose camp she sits in? It goes all the way back post NH when she tried to paint both Bill and Hillary as racists. She’s a tool and should be ashamed of herself (I used to like her and read her book…..)

“Message to the base: Stay home.” ???
Did she really say that? Isn’t “the base” paying her salary?
She needs to be fired, her comments lately have been insane. Didn’t she run Al Gore’s campaign? Why does the Dem party always pick losers to represent them?

what is wrong with you three , poor hillary is losing,( thank GOD), and now you blame it on Donna Brazille, I for one was a Republican, and no, not the RUSH kind, in fact all the bashing against OBAMA has backfired on them and has made me like him, I will vote for him and pray to GOD that he does not pick hillary as vp, then I cannot support him, hillary is a lier, will do anything to win, even to breaking her word that she would not count florida and michagan, she signed a pledge in sept. as did the other candidates to punish florida and mich. if they did not go by the rules, but leave it to hillary because she thinks she can do anything, she breaks her promise, typical clinton. OBAMA has won so you all get over it, and as far as DONNA BRAZILLE, I WATCH THE PRIMARY ON CNN JUST TO WATCH HER, I CANNOT BELEIVE HOW FAIR SHE IS, YOU ALL ARE SO WRONG IN YOUR COMMENTS, THAT IS ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED ABOUT HER, SHE TRYS TO BE FAIR TO BOTH CANDIDATES, EVEN TO MCCAIN, SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT., CERTAINLY NOT LILKE CARVILLE AND BEGALA, THEY ALWAYS DEFEND HILLARY AT EVERY CHANCE, CNN BETTER NOT FIRE HER, I WISH FOX NEWS HAD HER, YOU ALL ARE SOUR GRAPES, AND HATE IT THAT HILLARY IS TOAST AS NYPOST SAID YESTERDAY!!!!! GO DONNA BRAZILLE

PS. JUST SAW THE TITLE TO THIS BLOG, TEXAS……, BOY AM I ASHAMED OF THIS BLOG, BEING FROM TEXAS, THIS IS MY HOME!!! WHO GOT ALL THE DELEGATES IN TEXAS??????GIVE YOU A HINT, THE NOMINEE FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BARACK OBAMA!! SORRY………….HILLARY
Cedric // May 9, 2008 at 12:17 pm
He Did Not Win All The Delegates In Texas ,He Were Given All The Delegates In Texas,Senator Clinton Won The Majority Of Counties,And The Most Congressional Districts,It Were The Same Way In Ohio,Florida,Michigan,Pennsylvania,I Think She Won Something Like 67 Counties To Obama’s 70 Or Something To That Effect In The Texas Primary,,I Don’t Have The Actual Numbers As That, That Probably Wouldn’t Matter To You Anyway. She Won The Majority Of The People Votes Of Texas,I Think They Call That The Popular Vote,And Yet He’s Given The Most Delegates,I Ask You Is That Fair That Mr Obama And His Campaign Decided To Come In The Back Door Of This Race.
And When I Say Back Door I Mean The Caucuses That The Majority Of People Do Not Get The Chance To Vote In,And He Win’s The Most Delegates,That Is By No Means The Will Of The People,It Is The Will Of People Who Has No Perspective,Like Yourself.
Donna Brazile Should Be Fired,Layed Off,Suspended,Dismissed, Or However You Want To Dress It Up,Mr Obama Is By far The LIAR Not Hillary,And I Don’t Have To Remind You Of The Lies He’s Told As You Are Probably More Aware Of Them Than I Am,But Like A Lot Of His Supporters Fail To See The Forrest For The Tree’s.

I love Donna B. one of the few contributors on TV. that makes sense and to me she sounds partial, even if she is a democrat.
texasdarlin // May 9, 2008 at 2:13 pm
Sandra, upthread, don’t shout please.
A few corrections to your rant:
1. the only agreement by the candidates re. Fla andMich was that they would not campaign there. Clinton kept that promise; Obama broke it by advertising on natl. TV. There was NO agreement re. the delegates by the canadidates.
2. Obama got extra TX delegates by conducting caucus fraud. Read up on it, it’s disturbing.

I HEARD DONNA BRAZILLE TELL PAUL BEGALIA THAT THE PARTY DIDN’T NEED “BLUE COLLAR WORKERS” ANYMORE. WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT ??? IF OBAMA CANT GET THE WHITE VOTE, HE CANT GET THE WHITEHOUSE, DONNA BRAZILLE ! YOU AA’S ARE SHOWING YOUR ARROGANCE AND YOUR STUPIDITY MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY. AND YOU BETTER BE WORRIED ABOUT RIOTS BY THE WHITES IF THIS NOMINATION IS STOLEN BY OBAMA. NOW, HOW DOES THAT FEEL, DONNA BRAZILLE ? YOU SHOULD BE FIRED.

“That train has left, Catch it”???
Don’t need white working class voters?
Don’t want Fla and Mi?
Who exactly do you want Ms. Brazile?
Your response to the emailer should have been “what can we do to make this right”?
Instead you choose “That train has left”! “Catch it”!
That means take a hike, or good riddance!
You don’t need to show us the door, Ms Brazile!
We already caught the “train”!
What arrogance!

I am a white French man from Canada and I have followed the Primaries with great interest and, although it does’nt count, I support Hillary Clinton because of her ideas, not because she’s white. I can’t support Obama for his ideas, I have’nt heard any. But what I see from up here in Canada, and what troubles me, is that Obama gets the support of over 90% of African - Americans. They can’t all vote for him because of his ideas, he does’nt have much so far! There must be another reason for that unfailing support by African-Americans…
But that was’nt the purpose of my comment, I wanted to know if Hillary Clinton, if she does’nt become the Democrates Nominee, could run for the Presidency as an independant? Can someone answer me? Sorry for my English, it is not my mother tongue.

i also heard the exchange on cnn and i have t tell you that i used to like donna until now. she didnt even want to answer the question taht the one fellow asked and that i have had on my mind for quite some time ( something like will ayers and wright or people like them be a part of oabamas cabinet or admin?) i think she was afraid that the answer would be yes and that this would make her look racist. obama is and most of his supporters are. reasosn being that they have much to be hateful for and want very much to right the wrong. what better way to do it than to become the president and appoint AA’s as cabinet members? hillary supporter who changed from dem to independent just the other day and who will vote for mccain if hillary not elected. all of us bluse collar white workers should do same.

I am so offended by the “new” democratic party. They no longer “need” me (the white working class voter) so says Brazile. That’s racism, but anyone who points that out is labeled a racist.Howard Dean won’t do or say anything to oppose her line of thinking.. So maybe WE should change things.
I am always hearing people talk about how nothing can be done because “all politicians are alike” or “there’s really no difference between the 2 parties” or “I vote Democratic because it’s the lesser of 2 evils”Now is the time for a viable 3rd party. I really believe she can do it if she makes Edwards her mate. The other 2 candidates will be proven “not right for the position” (putting it mildly)There will be so many defectors from the other 2 parties (not to mention the greens, libertarians, etc. that they could win by a landslide.I really believe this is our only shot at taking the WH from those who care only about the corporate and elitist interests.Once we have the wh, and the people see how things can be, many of the elected will also change affiliation and America can get back to being a TRUE democracy.By the people for the people (not “the folks”)What are we waiting for?

Obama’s coronation ceremony is set for May 20th.
He’ll be crowning himself “King of Hope and Change” and “Humanity’s Savior, Messiah and next President of these 57 United States”
Florida and Michigan did not receive invitations to the event nor did Rural America, Small Town America, Blue Collar America, Typical White People, Americans without College Degrees, Low Income Americans …
The Main Stream Media will be in attendance with Keith O. and Chris M. leading the crowd in the coronation chant “Long Live the King!”
