More on the Florida/Michigan travesty, plus the convention in coming days.
But there’s a very big contest on tap for tomorrow on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
Viva la Hillary!

I just heard that Barack Obama has resigned from his church, the Trinity United Church of Christ (tucc), home of white-hating preachers.
You’re kidding, right? He resigns NOW, as if he has suddenly become aware of the problem with the filthy bigotry taught by TUCC; his 20-year pastor, friend, and spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright; and long-term associate Father Pfleger??
The question America will have for Barack is this: If Father Pfleger had not been caught on videotape last Sunday railing against Hillary Clinton for being “white” and “entitled” — would he be quitting NOW?
Apparently political expediency trumps loyalty to church and friends in Obama’s world.
And this is the candidate who had the audacity to accuse Hillary Clinton of “doing anything to win.”

Bill Nelson, US Senator, Fla.:
We must uphold one sacred principle, and that is the principle of one person, one vote…
…Seat the full delegation in accordance with the votes cast in January….Vote was certified by Secretary of State.
The people of Florida do not deserve punishment. They deserve to be heard.
Floridians are pretty sensitive about having our votes taken away.

This post is a follow-on to “Obama & his preachers: too late to denounce and reject”, which was a compilation of blog entries about the Father Pfleger sermon, resulting attempts to backpedal (I would hardly call them apologies), and Obama’s longstanding association with teachers and ministers of black liberation theology.
I’ve seen many demands in the past couple of days calling for Barack Obama to strongly denounce Father Pfleger, disassociate from him, and apologize directly to Hillary for Pfleger’s horrific remarks. These demands are done in the name of “unifying” the party, namely appeasing the female supporters of Hillary Clinton who are getting more pissed off by the day.

Because I actually have a real job which has been neglected due to the need for independent bloggers to take over the job of professional journalists in this election season…I will take the opportunity to compile some of the better blog entries on the topic of Barack Obama’s utter disregard for decency in embracing his church’s supremacist message, Obama’s longstanding association with racist preachers, and his inability to distance himself from their bigotry.
This is a follow-up to my post yesterday: “Guess I’m Just a Racist ‘Whitey’.”
No Quarter has carried yeoman’s duty on this subject with investigative pieces worthy of national recognition that put the mainstream media to shame.

It’s not hard to believe that there is a videotape of Michelle Obama on a rant at Trinity United Church (tucc) against “whitey.”
The core value of tucc is based on black liberation theology, which Larry Johnson at No Quarter explores in a well-researched post today.
There’s a lot of rage for white people bouncing off the walls of Trinity in one sermon after another. Here’s guest preacher Father Michael Pfleger delivering a racist screed in which he says about Hillary:
“…She just always thought this was mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white and this is mine. …”

In response to Democrats Defecting, a post composed of messages from disenfranchised Democrats, my blog received another wave of passionate commentary from readers.
This post, Part 2, features some of the new messages in an ongoing series designed to highlight the very real attrition threatening the Democrats in the event that the party nominates Barack Obama. Some contributors have suggested formation of a third party dedicated to progressive causes led by the Clintons; others have already re-registered as independent or undeclared; many have indicated that they will vote, and even actively campaign for, John McCain; still others vow to abstain in November.

Okay, I guess I’m not surprised because even his “autobiography” was a work of fiction, but telling a tale about a relative rescuing Holocaust victims in order to pander to Jewish voters goes beyond even my cynical expectations.
Yesterday, as reported on this blog and many other places, Barack Obama told a Jewish audience that his “uncle” helped free Auschwitz prisoners. After being called out on two impossibilities (one, that it was the Red Army that liberated Auschwitz and two, that his mother was an only child) the Obama campaign rushed to release a clarification: He really meant Buchenwald camp and it was his great uncle.
Now, we learn that Barack’s great uncle was in fact in the US Navy.

The Obama camp contends that Clinton’s performance in the primaries is not indicative of her performance in the general election.
A new Gallup study suggests otherwise:
Swing states won by Clinton, including Florida and Michigan:
Swing states won by Clinton, excluding Florida and Michigan:
